Flavor is a fresh green hop with some marmalade covered biscuit malt. I could see a little Belgian influence here as there is some estery yeast left on the tongue. Flavor is banana with bubblegum sweetness and a chewy wheat malt. A bargain bin pick up that is almost 2 years old but it's still drinking fine. Decent hefe but not great. Botrytis	3.9 Schneider's Bayrisch Hell Optisch hellgoldgelb und klar mit mittelgrober Perlage. Die weiße, feinporige Schaumkrone wirkt flaumig und mäßig gut haltbar. Die Duftaromatik zeigt sich sehr stiltypisch, kräftig getreidig bis weißbrotartig malzig und leicht grasig bis heuig hopfig. Der Antrunk kommt frisch, spritzig und getreidig malzig mit leicht heuigem Hopfenton. Am Gaumen manifestieren sich die leicht süßlich getreidigen Malznoten und die leicht floralen und heuigen, sehr sanft herben Hopfentöne. Eine zart butterige Note scheint ebenso mitzuschwingen. Zwar ist das eher nicht unbedingt stiltypisch, fügt sich aber meines Erachtens sehr gut ein. Vor allem im Mundgefühl passt das hervorragend zur sanften Rezenz, der sehr zarten Trockenheit und dem weichen, fast sämigen, mittelkräftigen Körper. Das wiederum schafft auch eine unwahrscheinlich gute Drinkability. Im Nachtrunk wirken die getreidigen Malznoten sehr gut nach und weichen einer wunderbar grasig-hanfiger und leicht floraler Hopfenaromatik mit einer leichten Bitterkeit. Mein Fazit: Ich weiß nicht, ob die "Butterigkeit", die ich erwähnt habe, von einer zarten Diacethylnote stammt, oder sich durch die sämige Haptik ergibt. Fakt ist, dass dieses Bier sehr gut und die tolle Hopfenaromatik im Nachtrunk bemerkenswert ist. Monday, February 19, 2024

It is a nice slightly hazy brew, with a nice straw like color, nice orange and yellow. Looking good. On top there is a nice layer of frothy white foam. Foam retention is average. Looking good. The aroma of the beer is nice. It is a nice malty brew. There is nice caramel and some nice hay. Some nice bready notes too. Hops give nice aromas of zest and some slight herbal notes. The yeast gives some nice banana fruity aromas with some spicy notes. All in all, it is quite a nice beer. The taste of the beer is also quite nice. Sweet malts, bitter hops, slightly sweet yeast notes, slight hop acidity. The beer is well balanced. The mouthfeel of the beer is also nice. Medium body, smooth texture, medium carbonation. The finish of the beer is nice. It has some nice grainy malts and wheat, with some nice herbal notes. All in all, a very nice brew. Saturday, February 10, 2024
