brexitgiftshop	3 Alsfelder Landpils (Bio) Marketed now as Vogelberger Naturburschen (BIO) PILSNER without the previous label's emphasis on natural mineral water... Still compared with photo here, it looks like a cheapo Aldi or Lidl pils although Bio label gives it some class... Pours pretty flat. Pale yellowy-gold, slightly opaque and craft beer looking! No head as mentioned. Aroma faintly hoppy, grassy. To the taste, a crisp, really quite hoppy bitterness is there in the onset, stays in aftertaste, malt comes through in afters a little (very little) but beer has overwhelming hops note. Aftertaste not very complex, like you've drunk a glass of diluted lemon juice... Not helped by rather watery mouthfeel and soft carbonation. Overall, a refreshing summery beer if rather lacking in identity. Could up the carbing a bit at least! let the malt through. 6x 0.33 pack from Tegut supermarket Darmstadt. Pricewise very decent for organic beer. Earlier Rating: 10/16/2021 Total Score: 2.6 New land! An unreviewed beer! Looks like a cheapo Aldi or Lidl pils although Bio label gives it some class. Pours pretty flat but was in freezer a tad too long. Pale yellowy-gold, slightly opaque. No head. Aroma faintly hoppy, grassy. To the taste, a light hops bitterness is there, stays in aftertaste, malt comes through in afters a little (very little) but beer has overwhelming hops note. Watery mouthfeel and low carbonation but may be the freezer... Overall, a bit bland although mildly refreshing. Little identity. Could up the hops and carbing a bit! hefe_weissbier	2.8 Alsfelder Weizen Hefe-Hell Beim Alsfelder helle Hefeweizen, gebraut nach altbayrischer Art, fragt man sich, wo ist die Hefe? Im Glas ist sie nicht und in der Flasche auch nicht. Der Antrunk schmeckt leicht wässrig und etwas hefig. Ein leichte Hopfenwürze erscheint im Zwischenhoch. Danach bleibts wie gehabt. Das Bier ist mild und sehr süffig. Aber altbayrische Brauart kann man das Ganze nicht nennen. Scheinbar probiert die Brauerrei noch etwas herum, denn meine Version hat 5,3%. Thursday, January 3, 2019

Sweetish, minimally grassy aroma of wort, grains and traces of straw. Quite sweet, minimally bitter, a little grassy taste of mainly wort, some grains and a touch of straw, followed by a short, minimally bitter finish. Medium body, smooth mouthfeel, almost flat.
