From old tasting notes. Labeled as "Kiesel Hefe-Weissbier Export". Cloudy orange gold color with a bubbly beige head. Tart, metallic yeasty wheat nose. Strong wheat malt flavor. Refreshing light bittersweet finish.

Insgesamt ok.

A rather uninspiring Helles. On tap at Cafe Des Art's in Basel, CH. clear pale yellow with minimal head. Somewhat of a metallic taste and a bitter finish. Overall, very drinkable but nothing to write home about. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottled. Cloudy orange/brown colour with chunks of yeast floating in it. Slightly off-white, lacey and frothy head. Marzipan and almond aroma with a cloves background. Flavours include notes of bananas, cloves, yeastiness and hints of marzipan ending in slightly hoppy and bitter finish. This beer appears medium-bodied, but ends a tad watery. As I´m not too keen on almonds and wateriness, this beer didn´t do it for me.

Chiemseer Helle Weisse
Cloudy yellow/orange. Medium head. Banana dominates the aroma. Also dominant in the taste. Otherwise a bit bland, also a little bit watery. A little bit too sweet for a Helles Hefeweizen, too. Surely drinkable, but not a good weizen.

Cloudy, dark brown/red colour. Very, very huge thick head (only Duvel comes close so far, for me). Very lacey. Spicy cloves aroma. Very nice pronounced maltiness for a dunkelweizen. Caramelly, hints of cloves, but hardly any banana. Nice.
