willisread	2.4 Frankenmuth The Hef 8/12/2020: Bottle from Trader Joe's. Pours a slightly hazy copper with no head. Banana and clove aromas with a bit of oxidation present. Good banana esters on the palate, but watery and very little carbonation. This feels totally oxidized and/or old at this point. willisread	3.6 Frankenmuth Oktoberfest 8/10/2020 - Bottle from Holiday Market. Pours a clear copper with a finger of off-white foam that dissipates. Bready malt aromas with some light peppery hop aromas as it warms. More of the same on the palate. Very drinkable, lighter in body. Aggie80	3 Frankenmuth Christmas Town Ale Little in the way of head and no lacing. Heavy spice notes in the aroma. Reddish tinge to the light brown pour. Spicy undertones in the flavor with nice malt and no noticeable hops. While it works well with the general joy of running through Frankenmuth and Bronner's it loses its appeal when sitting at home. DrnkMcDermott	3.1 Frankenmuth Christmas Town Ale Pretty spicy under the cap. Pours a deep reddish brown, with a fizzy off-white head. I get the regular spices that go into pumpkin spice beer; cinnamon, a little nutmeg. The malt is deeper than the usual pumpkin spice, though. And then there's a side of ginger. The alcohol is a basic 6%, so there's a lot of malt sweetness left. That would make this more of a beer for a main course when doing holiday meals, or a pre-meal. Onslow	3.5 Frankenmuth Little Bavaria Pilsener Pour from a 12oz bottl.e Deep orange/gold brew, cloudy, one finger of head that settles to a ring around the glass, decent lacing. Some sediment came along with the pour. Aroma brings some lemony citrus and a little spice. Taste is biscuit up front, some spice and grass, finishes with tart citrus, spice, underlying grass. Nice lingering bitterness at the very very end. Kind of restrained but very satisfying palate. Overall a very enjoyable brew. Saturday, April 6, 2019

MetalNHopHead	3.7 Frankenmuth The Hef Prior to coming to Michigan, I had never heard of Frankenmuth and that's really too bad since they make one of the nicest American-made Hefeweizens that I've had in a while. In terms of appearance and texture, this beer has it dialed. Uniformly cloudy yellow body topped by thick, creamy suds. Thick and silky mouthfeel. Delicate flavors of banana, clove and citrus. It executes that balancing act of being light and highly carbonated, yet milkshake-like and soft. This was a great beer for starting off my Saturday in downtown Ann Arbor. Onslow	3 Frankenmuth Lighten Up Francis! Pour from a 12oz bottle. Clear darker gold brew with small head that immediately dissipates. Aroma of lemon zest and green fruit, slight grass. Taste is light lemon up front with underlying light bready malt, finishes with a few green fruit notes and a pleasant, mild, lingering almost Saaz like bitterness at the very end. Clean and crisp and light throughout. Palate is light and verges on watery. Overall its a light tasting, lower ABV, refreshing brew for the summer months. Thursday, September 6, 2018

superspak	3.9 Frankenmuth Lighten Up Francis! 12 ounce bottle into pint glass; no bottle dating, but is a recent release. Pours slightly hazy medium golden yellow color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and rocky white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of wheat, cracker, white bread dough, and lightly toasted biscuit; with light notes of lemon, pear, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with pale/wheat malt and light earthy hop/fruity yeast notes; with solid strength. Taste of wheat, cracker, white bread dough, and lightly toasted biscuit; with light notes of lemon, pear, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast earthiness. Very mild herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of wheat, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice robustness of pale/wheat malt and light earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness balance, and zero cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Fairly crisp/clean finishing. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, bready/grainy, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is fantastic. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4%. Overall this is a delicious Kolsch style! All around nice robustness of pale/wheat malt and light earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink. Very flavorful for the low ABV. Really nicely rich clean Pils/wheat malt showcase; mild earthy hop balance and restrained yeast fruitiness. A bit more malty than expected; but a very enjoyable offering, and great style example. cheap	3 Frankenmuth Siamese Goat On tap, source. Darker iced tea color. First taste is not 8%, hides alky well. Quite malty overall. Well behaved for such a high ABV brew. Doppel, yet not in yer face. Stands up to any doppel from the old county. One of the better dops I have had. cheap	2 Frankenmuth Pumpkin Chucker Tap source. Darker but clear. Mild pumpkin pie nose. Brown in eye. Odd, Way too much spice in this one, over the top pumpkin spices fer sher. Barely any, if any pumpkin is noticeable, but I guess they said they put some of the real stuff in, must be less than 1%. Cinnamon, clove and other BS spice is the main feature, thanks.
