Jaipur Wheat Beer
As far as wheat beers go, this one is a bit stale. Tried with Jess, Sabrina, Ryan, Andy and Liz at the brewery in 2016. The beer seems to complement the paneer dishes, which is appropriate.

Jaipur Raspberry Wheat
Not a bad raspberry wheat. Perhaps a bit too sweet, too syrupy, but with some spicy Indian food, you need a powerful approach.

My brother and his friends recommended this. This is the best IPA what I have drank, ever. This was served straight from the tap without foam. Appearance was ok. Aromas was absolutely amazing. Rich and intensive, but not sharp. I expected that these hop aromas would indicate very bitter taste, but no. I would give 5/5.

Remarkable low score for this very well balanced and layered IPA. I loved it’s rich fresh aroma and the nice hoppy aftertaste!

Jaipur Jalapeño Ale
Growler shared by adnielsen. Pours a cool color of orange with some white head. Spicy on the nose and tongue, really drinkable. Not hot, but you get some heat. Really liked this one, much better than other similar beers I have had that included peppas.

Tap @ Jaipur. Pours a clear dark orange appearance with little head. Caramel, dull fruity hoppy, very bland aroma. Low carbonation. Light butter, caramel, toffee flavor that really tastes like it has no hops.

Jaipur Lemon Wheat
Tap @ Jaipur. They called it Lemon Ale. Pours a very hazy dark yellow appearance with a nice off white head. Big zesty, citrusy lemon aroma. Flavor is all lemon but not especially tart. One dimensional like the jalapeno beer but refreshing.

Oh yeah. Finally get a chance to drink this. Drank half a growler over a celebratory evening. Orange clear color. Small to no head. The beer is very nice pepper beer. Malts a slightly sweaty sweet but plenty of room to clear out for the pepper. A good green pepper flavor with a great little burn. Not to strong but felt all over the throat for a while. Thanks a lot Mat for getting this for me.

Jaipur Jalapeño Ale
Growler @ Exira Beer Summit IV. Pours a bit hazy, somewhat dark orange appearance with a small, off white head. Light caramel, toasty malty, spicy fresh jalapeno peppery aroma. Just a touch sweet, really nice, moderately spicy jalapeno flavor with a fair burn on the finish. Carbonation was a bit low even though I picked this up yesterday. The peppers are integrated quite nicely and this may be the best pepper forward beer I’ve had, but it is a bit simple. I would drink this again.

Jaipur IPA
The wife was less excited about the jalapeño beer and opted for this.
Pours a reddish orange with a small head and some nice lacing on the glass.

The aroma is mild, with some light citrus and fruit rind hop character.

The flavor is clean a touch sweet but not overly so. Tame on the bitterness but with enough citrus and fruit forward hops to qualify as IPA. A touch of biscuty malt.

Not my kind of IPA really, but not bad at all.

Jaipur Jalapeño Ale
Pours an orange color, kind of hazy, with a very small head... Oh and that little jalapeño slice garnish on the glass... I know that’s not "part" of the beer, but I have to give a little extra love for presentation.

The aroma is great, lots of clean jalapeño and roasted pepper notes. Lightly salty smelling, lightly malty sweet. Mostly just appetizing and "roasted- jalapeño -esque"

The flavor is clean, and perfectly focused with lots of clean jalapeño flavor, the spiciness is mild and well balanced with a nice touch of malt sweetness and light fruity character. Simple, clean, and delicious.

Omaha is 2 hours from here... and this among other things reminds me that I am an idiot for not visiting more often than I do.

Jaipur Jalapeño Ale
10 oz pour at the brewpub in Omaha, Nebraska. Garnished with a jalapeno slice, awesome. The pour is golden, mostly clear, with almost no head. There are a bunch of carbonation bubbles, perhaps from the pepper. The aroma is vegetal, grain, and pepper spice. Taste is toasted malt, than turns to the fresh japalepno, gently spiced, then increases through the finish, burns the lips a little bit. Base ale works well with the spice, malt without any sweetness. Palate light to medium bodied, dry, spice finish build nicely through the finish. Really solid pepper beer.

Jaipur Raspberry Wheat
10 oz pour at the brewpub in Omaha, Nebraska. The pour is a golden copper light ruby, with a smallish white head, bit fluffy as it falls. The aroma is sugary raspberry, sort of syrupy, along with a touch of malt under that. The taste is the syrup raspberry, along with a nice enough malt backbone. The wheat shows in the after taste, adding some character. The palate is medium bodied, low carbonation, sweet wheat finish. Decent fruit wheat beer.

Jaipur IPA
10 oz pour at the brewpub in Omaha, Nebraska. The pour is mostly clear golden copper, with an off white head. Some light lace. The aroma is dusty leafy, a touch of bitter hops. The taste is grainy malt, hint of cardboard, and a light bitterness. Not much else. The palate is medium to light bodied, oily mouth feel, and a bitter dry finish. This seemed to have some age on it.

note to other raters, this is not the Thornbridge Jaipur.

Jaipur Jalapeño Ale
Growler via Mat, thanks again! Pours a golden standard BMC lager color with a super frothy head even having been in the growler for a week or two. Aroma is out of this world jalapeno! The vegetable and spice notes really come through in the nose to make it something I could keep smelling all day. Taste is jalapeno with a nice bread background but very little spice. This is all the good things about jalapenos. Overall, I have no idea how this beer isn’t more hyped. Now to find a homebrew clone.

This beer is blowing my mind. Huge thanks to foppa78 for the growler. It pours a hazy amber, nice off white head. Aroma is huge. Jalapenos. Lots of them. Very powerful. Some grass, and a bit of biscuit round it out. Flavor is huge with fresh, sweet jalapenos. Very nice. Again, some more biscuit malt and that is about it. The finish has a sour twang, which compliments the heat very well. I’d put the heat factor around a 3/10. If you think jalapenos are hot, you still could probably drink this. Every sip makes you want just a bit more though. I’m not sure if I enjoy this more than the Slow Eddie, but man...it’s good.

slightly hazy yellow color. nice loose bubbly head, very white and sudsy looking. smells of slight amonia, almost cat-pissy, but in a good way! Nice English grassy/lemony hop aromas. Not much malt. taste follows smell, but less cat-piss in the mouth. very dry, pretty bitter, slight lemony-malt happening in the middle. light and crisp mouthfeel with good carbonation.

Jaipur Jalapeño Ale
[Tap] Pours a bright amber color with a potent hot pepper nose. Pretty intimidating at first, but the flavor is more restrained and balanced. Solid jalapeno and green pepper taste mingles with sweet caramel and pizza bread. Thick and syrupy mouthfeel is tempered by the heat from the peppers. Not over the top, like many other pepper beers. The heat lingers but doesn’t get to the level that is unpleasant. This beer alone makes a visit to Jaipur worthwhile. It blows everything else they brew out of the water.

Jaipur IPA
[Tap] Light amber in color. Not much head on the beer, but the lacing looks pretty good as you drink it. Moderately hoppy aroma suggests ESB rather than IPA. Sweet floral finish mixes with lots of biscuit and mild spice. Average mouthfeel and palate. One of their more flavorful offerings.

Jaipur Wheat Beer
[Tap] Pours a pale straw color with very little head. Grass and hay in the nose. The dry wheat taste is pretty one dimensional. Cereal grains and mild citrus throughout. Thin and easy to drink. This probably would go well with spicy food, but by itself it’s not great.

Jaipur Raspberry Wheat
[Tap] Pinkish golden pour with a fizzy and quickly receding head. Sweet grain and artificial berry nose. The wheat character was very muted here. The flavor profile was quite sweet overall, but the berry flavor was more genuine than the aroma suggested. Light in body. Not too bad.

Jaipur Golden Summer
[Tap] Tried this beer first after ordering a sampler. Grainy and grassy aroma with vegetal hints of mainly green pepper. Crisp taste of citrus and white bread. Noticeable mild jalapeno flavor throughout. I have a feeling the tap lines or fermenter weren’t properly cleaned after brewing their Jalapeno beer. Average body and mouthfeel. It was OK, but I wasn’t overly impressed by the vegetal hints.

Pours a amber color with light off-white head. In the style of many English IPAs, the focus is on the malts with some resinous and earthy hops in the background. I prefer it to be much brighter.

Shared with my cousins. Pours a amber color with light off-white head. Aroma is for much like an English IPA. Hops are there, but muted and almost tea like in some instances. Malt is not intense but is definitely a big part of this beer than the average IPA. ALl and all, not bad.

Yellow pour. White head. Light malty aroma with some lemon and, shit where are the hops?? Flavor makes me wonder WTF? Hops? Hell no. Lemons, yeast and some light cracker notes? Yes. Hops? Hops? IPA? Deep copper colored body with a light khaki head after i poured it from a growler. The aroma is light oranges with some light biscuit. There is also some hint of Sweet William flowers. Hell yes. A jalapeno beer made by an Indian restaurant in Nebraska, how fucking cool is that? Wet caramel and peppery jalapeno juice hits the nose... heat is medium but noticeable, flavor is pure jalapeno peppers with a weaker note of caramel malt... the finish leaves a peppery bite coating the mouth.. damn good overall... I sat at the bar for an hour and this was easily the most-ordered beer during that time. Awesome.

Draught at the brewery. Hazy dark amber colored body, nearly brown with a medium opaqueness. Mild fruitness, but fresh and tangy overall... some citrus orange blends with an assertive bread and cracker malt body... there’s some light prickliness and pepperiness, and a finish of honey and caramel flavored hop cones. Not bad.

Jaipur Raspberry Wheat
Draft at the brewery. Clear strawberry blonde colored body with a small white head. Mild fruit nose, a nice raspberry/strawberry/genericberry smell, but unlike most beers which this artificial fruit aroma, this one actually smells somewhat nice... not entirely natural, but still nice, which I almost feel bad about admitting. Lacks any sort of glaring defect, but still not terribly interesting. Nice to have something different from the typically weak and artificial fruit beers.

Draft at the brewery. Clear gold colored body with a small white head. Medium body, spritzy carbonation with a weak bread/cracker flavor up front and some lightly sweet honey notes on the back. Simple overall, a bit of nutmeg spice shows up with times, but there’s very little wheat character present, and I think it’s been filtered to all hell.

Jaipur IPA
Draught @ Jaipur: This one pours a hazy, darker orangish color. There was absolutely no head on it, even though there is carbonation in the glass. The aroma is extremely mild for an IPA. It has earthy notes as well as a hint of pine. The taste is only slightly bitter, even a bit weak by Pale Ale standards. Earthy notes, a hint of caramel, unbalanced. In all fairness, a really good IPA probably wouldn’t pair well with the Indian food in the restaurant, which was excellent.

Growler from iowaherkeye. Thank you Joey. I love pepper beers. Poured a clear medium orange color. Head was white and reduced over a few minutes to a thin film. Aroma was of subdued, but distinct chiles and a whiff of honey touched cereal grain. Dry, hot, and spicy on the tongue. There was mild to moderate spiciness up front with a green vegetable flavor and distinct chile pepper. The chile flavor mingled with some grassy hops and biscuity malt. As expected, the flames were fanned each time I took a sip. By the end of the glass my mucous membranes were on fire. Solid chile beer.

Jaipur West Coast Pale Ale
On tap at the brewpub. Dark amber with a medium off white head that has a beautiful thick creamy consistency. The foam leave lovely lacing behind in the glass. Like the nut brown from here, there’s not much aroma, if anything a slight whiff of malt, which is not what you’d expect. Perhaps this is indicative of the Great Hop Shortage of 2008 that has been much ballyhooed. Has a harsh bitter bite that conjures up roasted barley, but no floral or citrus tones. Not my cup of tea.

Jaipur Nut Brown
On tap at the brewpub. Pours a very dark brown with a thin sheen of a off white head. Almost no aroma- just a subtle roastedness. Flavor is slightly roasted hazelnuts and bark. Very interesting vanilla blast at the finish. Has some smoothing caramel in there as well. Low carbonation. Fairly good.

Jaipur Jalapeño Ale
Handbottled bomber from Iowaherkeye - thanks a million, Joey! Crystal clear amber with a slight head that left in a hurry - I might have snoozed on this one just a bit too long. Still, a few bubbles rise to the top, so it’s not completely still. Nose is fresh cut jalapeño pepper, just a mild doughy base to back it up. Flavor is nice, fresh jalapeño - pepper haters need not apply, for sure. The only pepper burn in way at the back of the throat. Not overly hot, mind you, but you certainly know it’s there. Once the pepper flavor subsides a bit, a fairly solid brew emerges - a bit of doughy bread, some lightly floral hop. This beer is all about the pepper integration, though, and it’s done well. Someone send Cave Creek a bottle, and quick...

Growler courtesy of iowaherkeye. Pours amber/copper with some sparse white carbonation. Smells of jalapenos, some smoke, some citrus and biscuit elemets. They did a really good job capturing both the heat and the vegetal qualities associated with this pepper on the nose. Tastes of a nice blend of citrus with a punch of hot pepper. Amazingly, I can also taste the pepper itself, not just the bite from the heat. Some grassy and lemony hints are also present. Mouthfeel is thin. Finish gives a nice bite at the back of the throat but does not thrash my palate. While the base beer isn’t anything to write home about, the pepper is done very well which is the reason for my high score. Excellent usage of jalapenos!
