The body is denser and softer than the rest, sweetish (probably due to rice), sourness, malt is weaker, hops are the same. Bitter hop aftertaste. bilcho1	2.2 Zhigulevskoe Zhigulevskoe (Samara) Bottle, probably from the Russian shop, bought before the war. Clear gold, some head and lacing. Aromas mainly malty with honey and grains. In the mouth, rising bitterness balances the sweetness at first, but then overtakes it, malty flavours similar to the aromas, a touch of dried flowers into a bitter finish. Stellaaaa	2.8 Zhigulevskoe Samarskoe Pivo Pours a clear straw color with a minimal white head. The aroma is of freshly cut grass and straw. The taste is very hop-forward. It has a crisp bitterness from the hops and is fairly hoppy for a pale lager. It has a bit of a rock candy sweetness on the tail end that detracts from it a little bit. Taste is medium sweet, caramel, malt. Light to medium bitter finish. Reminiscent of the various Lithuanian macro “dark ales”. Too sweet for the style for me. Monday, September 20, 2021
