@GBBF - cloudy red-brown beer with beige foam left; earth and red fruits in the nose; subtle carbonation, tasty and a good malt backbone; yeasty, earthy, caramel and red fruits again in the finish - pretty nice

GBBF Day 3. Cask. Fair bit stronger than the existing entry. Hazy amber beer, tidy pale tan head. Palate is light and fairly dry, good fine carbonation. Light dry malts, decent caramel and toffee. Good dried fruits. Mild spice. Strawberry led berry fruits. Mild orange peel. Light dry finish finds a little bitterish wood. Good stuff, dry but very tasty.

Can pours hazy golden color, tight white head vanishes quickly leaving minimal lace. Aromas of apricot and peach. Taste of sweet hard candies and artificial apricot flavoring. Light body, watery mouthfeel, under carbonated with a medicinal finish on the tongue. I don’t think I can drink another one. The fake fruit flavors paired with the extremely light body make this almost undrinkable.

It’s okay. Theres a grassy aroma but thats really I can pull out of it. Taste is kind oniony garlic. Dry and bitter. It’s kind of a middle of the road session ipa. I have had a lot worse.

Yeast shines in this. Bread with a light nutmeg spice.sweet background with just a bit of mild bitter to balance it. Bit of banana in the spiced nose. A nice beer with lunch.

12 oz can; amber color; odd aroma - hoppy, but with buttery notes - kind of fruity; light with a mild hop flavor and sweet, buttery notes that don’t belong in an IPA

Can pours hazy glowing copper yellow color. Big white fluffy head thats turns into big bubbles that lingers for a while leaving the weirdest lace I have seen. Almost like spiderwebs. Light floral smells with candy(butterscotch), and buttered popcorn aromas. Taste of lightly sweet malt and candy. Light body, watery mouthfeel, medium carbonation with a lightly bitter dry finish. I don’t feel like this beer is balanced. No real malt flavor here and the hops overwhelm the beer.

Tap at brewpub april 2014 Pours a wierd murky orange hue with a small soaly white head and good lacing from tbe start. Nose is mostly cascade grapefruit and diacytl smells very dirty and just not very good. Flavors are very big grapefruit and really nothing else. Very dirty resinous grapefruit seems very dirty and sloppy. Finish is big grapefruit and lingering strong rinds bitterness. A sloppy old skool ipa that needs update and work.

Can pours hazy amber brown color with a small head and big bubbles. It vanishes to a ring around edge of glass leaving spots of lace. Light smell of toffee, grains, must and earth. Tastes of medium sweet toffee, and a hint of hops. Light body, smooth texture, mild carbonation and tingling dry finish. While this beer is easy to drink, the flavors lack depth. Nothing stands out in this ale. The body is way to light and the hop flavor is non existent. Overall it is just an ordinary beer. Would be a good gateway beer for people getting into craft beers.

I like the taste of this canned ale better than the Kellys’ IPA on tap at the brewpub. No real head to speak of, slight medicine odor and palate. Light orange/gold color. I doubt this will get much distribution outside of New Mexico, and this is gonna have a hard time competing with the other packaged IPAs in Albuquerque.

Pint, on tap. Poured Amber, light head, pleasant carbonation. Smells of bitter hops, tastes the same the whole way through, lightens in the back. Light for the style, in flavor and ABV. Good with the Ruben, though.

Light brown - way too light. The aroma is barely there. The palate is extract wonkiness with no roast and not much else I’d be looking for in a stout either. I have no idea what this is, but it’s not an oatmeal stout and I don’t want to drink any more.

I had something called ’Session IPA’ - not sure if this is the same. Hazy straw-tan. Funky, dirty aroma. Light hop bitterness. Extracty and flawed, though the hops cover it up at least a little bit.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear golden yellow with a thick white head. Aroma of perfumy apricot. Flavor of sweet, still perfumy apricot and light wheat malt. Very sweet, certainly artificially sweet. Ok overall because it was drinkable, but otherwise not great. 6/4/7/3/13 [3.3/5]

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear light orange with a thick white head. Aroma of floral hops, sweet fruits, jam, and bready malt. Flavor of bitter hops and pale malts with some mild fruity notes too. Its pretty hoppy for an ESB and reminds me more of a pale ale. Good stuff though. 7/4/8/4/14 [3.7/5]
