3.2 Rock Bottom Irvine Hogshead English Bitter Cask @ Real Ale Fest The beer was a cloudy amber with a nice light tan head, creamy in texture and the lace a decent covering upon the glass. Nice sweet malt nose, fresh and clean, start was sweet and mildly malted, top was light to moderate in feel. Finish was benign in its acidity, the hops pleasing as was the dry aftertaste, a drinkable brew, nice to change the pace from the “Hop Overload” I was getting from all the IPA’s and I2PA’s. 3.1 Rock Bottom Irvine Hogshead English Bitter This bitter pours with an orange-amber body topped by a thick creamy head with a good amount of lacing. The aroma is slightly sweet yet sour and lemony with a slight tomato sauce note and a touch of fruit. The flavor is sweet and malty with a slight hoppiness, but not much. There’s also a touch of fruit. Pretty bland actually. Light to medium bodied and very smooth. Monday, June 14, 2004

3.3 Rock Bottom Irvine Bogie Bogey Brown (Draft: Rock Bottom in Irvine, CA) Malty, fairly sweet and lightly nutty with a mildly bitter touch of light hoppiness; The beer seems just a little sugary perhaps; The nose is slightly malty, but rather light; Ruddy brown color; Light tan head fades very quickly Wednesday, April 14, 2004

3.3 Rock Bottom Irvine Bogie Bogey Brown My major complaint is that they served this ice cold! Once it had some time to warm up, it was a decent brown ale with a nice, roasty taste. It was the best one I tried at the R.B in Irvine, CA Sunday, February 15, 2004

3.3 Rock Bottom Irvine Hellesbock On tap Naperville, IL. Nice orangy color, and a malty sweet aroma. Definitely sweet tasting, and slightly thick palate, light carbonation, almost as if it weren't done setting yet. Saturday, May 24, 2003

3.8 Rock Bottom Irvine Hellesbock Had this on tap at the Rock Bottom restaurant in Irvine. Clear dark golden appearance with a thin light colored head. Malty aroma with a hint of coffee and chocolate. Toasty, malty barley wine-like flavor that is sweet, with a slight acidic twang, but not cloying. Slight hoppy finish. Friday, October 18, 2002
