Can. Pours a clear copper with a near white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has pine and bread with a touch of sweet grains. Flavor has pine and a touch of dank papaya with bread and grain growing.

Got in a trade with AZBeerDude72. 12 ounce can into tulip glass, best before 9/29/2019. Pours very dark ruby reddish brown color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy light khaki head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice dense spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a light amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, brown sugar, roasted nuts, toasted biscuit, and brown bread/crust; with lighter notes of coffee, dark fruit, herbal, wood, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. A bit too fruity/yeasty, but not overwhelming. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malts, chocolate, and light-moderate fruity yeast/earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of big milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, brown sugar, roasted nuts, toasted biscuit, and brown bread/crust; with lighter notes of coffee, dark fruit, herbal, wood, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Mild herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery, roasted bitterness; and yeast tang/tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, brown sugar, roasted nuts, toasted biscuit, brown bread/crust, coffee, dark fruit, herbal, wood, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malts, chocolate, and light-moderate fruity yeast/earthy hop flavors; with a nice roast/hop bitter/sweet balance; and no cloying, acrid, astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/grainy, and fairly sticky/chalky mouthfeel that is good. A bit too thin, but not watery. Zero warming alcohol for 5.5%. Overall this is a nice flavored English porter. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malts, chocolate, and light-moderate fruity yeast/earthy hop flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mildly bitter/drying finish. Well balanced English malts and chocolate flavors; solid earthy hops and fruity yeast presence. Light residual sweetness with lingering dryness. A nicely enjoyable offering, and well made style example. Just a bit too yeasty overall.

This is a pleasant amber. Full of malt, and a not too sweet malt at that. Hops are here, but not aggressive. Pleasant beverage.

Can (BB Aug 16, 2018). Head is initially average sized, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing. Body is dark yellow. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (toasted grain, malt syrup, caramel), lightly to moderately hoppy (grapefruit), with a light note of butter. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. A bit crude and simple, but certainly drinkable.

On tap at the brewpub. A cola coloured pour with a ring of white head; aroma of chocoalte malt; rather thin in the mouth with a sweet malted chocolate taste; and a caramel finish. Lakcing the bitterness to make this a true porter.

12oz can from Top Shelf Liquors, Cottonwood, AZ. An opaque dark brown pour with a ring of white head; strong aroma of chocolate syrup with a hint of vanilla; sweet and syrupy in the mouth with the malts making a valiant attempt to defeat the chocoalte, but falling short in the end; then a sweet finish with caramel as well as chocolate. A beer that's well worth trying, but probably not one to return to.

Can. Bought Mar 2017; BB May 2017; Drank Apr 2017 - Dark Red Brown in colour. Average foamy tan head. Chocolate aroma. Very Malty; lots of dark chocolate, chocolate syrup, toasty malts, caramel, coffee, vanilla. Some dark fruit notes. Moderate balancing hop bitterness. Sweet very chocolate malty throughout, but not as sweet as I feared. Interesting chocolate porter, but it has a rather artificial tasting lasting syrupy chocolate finish. Not for me. (2017-04)

Prescott Walnut Brown Ale
Poured into a pint glass, the appearance was a semi-dark brown color with a cap of a white foamy head that dissipated at an even pace. Sly lacing. The aroma was all about the nuts, but mainly sweet. Some roastiness but even that seems a stretch. The flavor smoothly leads with the sweet nutty malts. Fully sweet malty aftertaste and sticky finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a sly sessionability about it. Moderate carbonation feels good. Overall, as a brown ale, it somewhat does the trick. Aroma seems to lead to one side a bit much.
