750mL bottle, pours a clear golden with a large, but rapidly dissipating white head. Aroma is full of barnyard funk, musty apple skins, and champagne-like effervescence. Flavour is wonderfully expressive and complex, with a beautiful barnyard funk character, champagne-like effervescence, oak, and apple skin must. Wow, that's a wonderful expression. The brut character is nearly bone dry. Carbonation is very high but perfectly fitting. Wonderful -- one of the best French ciders I've tried.

Gylden lidt rav, lidt hvis skum ved påhældningen som svinder helt. Aroma er mild vild gær cider æble. Smagen er mildt sødlig rund cider med en god fylde, ikke meget syre, mild farmhouse smag. Ret god

Bottle. Color: Slightly hazy golden, no head. Aroma: Sweet and sour apples, farmyard funk. Taste: Over moderate sweet and moderate tart apples, some overripe apples, appleskin, quite some tannins, dry-ish mouthfeel, bit moldy farmyard and horseblanket funk. Medium body, just below average carbonation. Nice.

Bottle at camping picnic at Binic festival. Clear golden with some bubbles. Sweet apple, light farmyard notes, apple peel, light pear, soft spices, more juicy fresh apple. Medium sweet, light tart. Medium bodied with quite some sparkly carbonation. Good! I regret giving away the Brut bottle I had now.

Thanks! 750 ml. bottle sampled. Pale golden. Nose is massive soap, very soapy FR cider funk. Carbonation is massive, fitting for the style but way too much for me here. Too sweet upfront, soap sweet, sugar & finish is low dirty FR cider funk. Fair for what it is I suppose but not really my thing.

75cl bottle from Auchan. Pours pale greenish yellow. Aroma is tinned pear fruit syrup. Taste is quite rich for a French perry, lots of perry pear fruit, fairly syrupy sweet, oily and lightly sticky. Some pear skins. Not bad.

75cl. Cider starts tart, not too sour. The mainpart is tart-sweet, highly drinkable. Nice cider-apple aroma. Very fresh. Easy to drink and still ripe flavourful. The aftertaste is a bit dusty, very ripe apples. Very smooth, slightly woody.
Nice, not too sweet but not very tart as well. 10/12/9/10

75cl bottle from Auchan. One of the nicer cidres I’ve tried, probably because it’s from Normandy rather than Britanny but also because it’s from this great producer who are above average when it comes to this stuff. A touch drier than the average French cider with a lovely crisp apple core sweetness . Very nice.

The aroma is like plastic and funky ripe apples. The appearance is hazy gold with a fizzy head. The flavor is funky like the aroma. The palate is thin. Overall I don’t like this.

2007 edition, There is too much funk not too ignore, but the cider is sweet and crisp, with a hint of bubblegum like flavor. Its not bad by any means the negative is just to great still despite the score, I would recommend to try.

75 cl bottle at a restaurant in Ryes, Normandie, France. Deep yellow, a touch of green, hazy. Soft apple fruitiness, with yeasty and woody notes. Medium bodied with nice sparkling feeling. Very good balance, with a light sweetness, a firm acidity, and a discrete apple peel bitterness. A great cider.

Not the same as the vintage brut version from the same producer. This is non-vintage and more medium than dry (Normandy ciders tend to be less dry than UK ciders because of the apples used). Hazy golden colour, but not bottle fermented. Soft floral aroma. Mellow, fruity palate. An easy drinking and pleasant cider, but no great complexity. 750ml bottle.

A cloudy, bottle-fermented vintage (this one 2001) cider. Lots of dregs. From a small artisanal producer near Honfleur in Normandie, who also makes calvados, pommeau and other apple related products. The cider is deliciously fruity, juicy and crisp, with spicy undertones. A good balance between the classy and the rustic. One of my favourite Norman ciders. Bottled (750ml)
