Green Man ESB 2.8
12 oz. bottle from Rob G. Aroma: Light caramel biscuit malts that are also lightly toasty; hops are hard to discern. Appearance: Cola amber color with fairly healthy carbonation holding up a bubbly, bone coloured head. Flavour: Lean caramel tea biscuit up front with a very light woody/slightly spicy hop character near the finish, which is abrupt. Palate: Medium body, slick texture, soft carbonation, abrupt finish. Overall: The malts are mostly right, but the hops are too dialed back even from an English ESB. Fine, but a little dull.

Green Man Skywalker Pale Ale 4.1
Draft. Huge, huge aroma of toffee. Flavors of hazelnut, butterscotch and toffee. Little sweetness, but rich depth of flavor. Chewy, milk chocolate finish. World-class. Too bad itís a one-off made with leftover hops from the breweryís single-hop pale ale line. Hereís hoping they reconsider, because this is the best APA Iíve had since Cellarmakerís Pretty Pretty in 9/15.

Green Man The Dweller 3
Draft. Not much aroma. Lots of coffee flavor, kind of a dark-roasted Pacific coffee. Not much chocolate or layers. The alcohol is well-hidden and the finish is strikingly clean. But otherwise, kind of average.

Green Man Holly King 3.8
Draft. 2015/16 edition. Aroma is surprisingly thin, but flavors are huge honey sweetness (the bourbon?), vanilla and some nutmeg and cinnamon. The oak is here as the vanilla, but the sweetness drives the beer. The abv is well-hidden. A treat.
