Scopey	3.3 Jollyboat Grenvilles Renown Cask at The Appledore Inn, Bideford. It pours clear brown with a decent white head. The aroma is soft, mellow, fairly sweet, caramel, toffee, fruit cake, toasted nut and brown bread. The taste is dry, bitter, earthy, toasted nut, some caramel, leather, twig, bit of spice, tannin and wood with a drying finish. Medium body and fine, foamy carbonation. Leighton	3.1 Jollyboat Grenvilles Renown Draft at the Great British Beer Festival 2013, day 3 - London. Pours clear golden-brown with a slight foamy head. Buttery bread in the nose, some toffee. Light sweet flavor with some semi-ripe fruits, light dough, more buttery bread. Light in body with fine carbonation. Sweet finish with more toffee and ripe fruits. So so. Sunday, October 11, 2015

Beese	4 Jollyboat Contrabrand Cask gravity at the Watford Beer Festival 2014. Poured black, with a dense beige head. Aroma of smoke, roasted malt and earth. Bitter coffee flavour, with burnt malt and molasses. Full mouth feel. Finish was liquorice, hay and treacle. Saturday, November 29, 2014
mR_fr0g	3.7 Jollyboat Contrabrand Cask gravity at the Watford beer festival 2014. Opaque black pour with a lasting loose mid tan head. Aroma is jammy berry fruits with a wood earthy choc. downender	3.6 Jollyboat Contrabrand Cask-conditioned at the Gryphon, Bristol 2/03/2012. Dark brown with a decent, off-white head. Aroma of coffee, milk chocolate and grassy hops. Flavour had some initial caramel, before more coffee notes and a gently bitter finish. Very good. Friday, March 2, 2012
chriso	3 Jollyboat Oarsom Gold Cask (handpump) at Great British Beer Festival, day 4 on 5 August 2011. Golden and grassy. Slightly lemony on the nose, more herbaceous feel on the palate. Finishes quite dry. Respectable enough but there wasn’t too much to grab the attention or distinguish it from a lot of similar beers at the festival. Monday, January 9, 2012

chriso	3.4 Jollyboat Corsair Cask (gravity dispense) at Pigs Ear Beer Festival, 2 December 2009. This brewery has been going for years but the beers are not easy to find and they rarely make a new one so this was quite welcome. Copper colour. Loose white, but lasting head. Dry and quite fruity. Earthy hops come through with good length to the bitterness. Slaty mouthfeel. A good, solid best bitter in a quite traditional style. Sunday, February 21, 2010

Deep amber coloured with a lacy white head. Fruity malt aroma followed by more malt in the flavour. Finish had some chocolate malt and was moderately bitter. Good. Saturday, February 23, 2008
