Big Dog’s seDATEd
Pretty sweet aroma, but you can actually identify the dates. The head pours a beautiful tan, color is a dark brown. Doesn’t quite taste as good as it looks and smells. Quite sweet, with a flavor that mixes malt, fruit and sugar in a way that just doesn’t quite work for me. Don’t get the lacing typical of a quad.

Big Dog’s Tripel Dog Dare
Bomber from Total Wine Summerlin. Clove spice and fruit forward aroma, plums and apples. Flavor matches. Alcohol shows a bit but it’s pretty nice. Sorry I didn’t get the abv off the bottle...I thought the beer and discrisption was listed on their site, but when I went to copy and paste I saw its for an IPA, not the tripel :(

Big Dog’s Sam-Rye
Probably my favorite of their house beers on tap at Big Dog’s draft house. Noticeable rye and spicy hop nose and flavor. Drinks big for 6% and is moderately bitter.

Big Dog’s Cherry Vanilla Wheat
On tap at Big Dog’s. Cloudy with a pink tint. At first just a kinda boring run of the mill cherry wheat, slightly tart and a little yeasty. As it warms, the vanilla comes out in the aftertaste and makes it a touch more interesting.

Draft at BD. A decent balanced ale. Caramel malt and a little hop bite - piney and earthy. Not terribly interesting, but ok.

A surprisingly hoppy pale ale. Grass and pine and grapefruit. Has a bit of a bitter bite to it as well. Not too shabby.

Fruity Ana floral is this golden ale. Not a ton of depth but a decent enough yeast profile to stay interested.

Big Dog’s Amarillo Boy
Cloudy yellow. Didn’t really stand out as a hoppy beer or a lager. Figured I’d like this a lot but was bored with it. Decent hoppy taste but little follow through or nose.

Big Dog’s Rollin Smoke
So the smoke aroma is subdued but noticeable on this which I like. Similar thoughts on the beer. Because it’s an amber it just has a slight smoke and a slight body. Not being an amber guy, this is definitely preferable to the original for me.

Big Dog’s Can I Get a "Wit" ness
Super heavy on the wheat in the aroma, with a pale cloudy yellow appearance. Tons of wheat and banana while still being thin. Not for me at all.

Big Dog’s K-9 Nicky Wardog
Not as much grapefruit in the aroma or body compared to some other grapefruit versions of brewers standard beers but it works quite nicely nonetheless. Plenty of hops and relatively smooth for the style.

Big Dog’s Las Vegas Craft Lager (LV Lager)
On tap at Pour 24 NYNY, and pint glass served, showing a clear & bright, light golden hue, with particularly active, rising bubbles, a sudsy, white layer of head foam, and wavy cling to the lacing. The aroma was a typical, light lager nose with a bit of dank grain. Light to medium bodied, with lively carbonation, and a moderate earthy & peppery bitterness. No frills, but clean & crisp refreshment.

Slightly stinky hop aroma. Gold, brief head. Very well balanced taste, there’s a ton of hops here, but the malts are sweet and caramelly to. Palate a bit thin. Finish is resiny and bitter. Crazily drinkable, no sign of 8.7% at all. Simple recipe, but very well done. Thanks Philip!

Thanks to Philip. Clear golden beer, small white head. Nose is hoppy, herbal notes, grapefruit, some malt and soft caramel. Flavor begins sweet and malty, but then the citric hops kick in, some pine, lots of grapefruit. Dry and citric finish, spicy hops, resin. Lingering resin, almost oily. Highly drinkable for the ABV.

Clear golden with a medium sized frothy white head. Aroma is toffee, grapefruit zest, peach, pine, resin and light notes of alcohol. Taste is light to medium sweet, zesty bitterness. Finish sweet malty with some resinous notes, medium bitter with grapefruit pith notes, slightly astringent and slight warming alcohol. Medium bodied, slight oily texture, soft to average carbonation.

Big Dog’s Underbite IPA
Originally passed up on this because it was undated, but figured 1.79 was not much of a risk upon returning. I was right on both accounts. Not the freshest ipa, hints of grapefruit, other citrus and pine, but a little malt and hints of cardboard tells me this has been sitting for a bit. Pleasantly bitter aftertaste. But, only out 1.79, so there’s that. date your product!

Draft to shorty at Yardhouse Vegas pour avg gold with moderate white head. Nose mango, tropical fruit, and sweet malt. Big Dog’s Underbite IPA
Appearance was clear golden with creamy lasting white 1 finger head, spotty lacing. Aromas are citrus fruits with slight malt sweetness and soft pine resin. Taste are soft grapefruit, tangerine, orange upfront with light malt sweetness mid sip. The sticky piney finish is solid bitterness. Palate is smooth CO2 with medium body, then lasting clean balanced piney finish. Overall an solid west coast IPA, just touch much pine for me though

Another solid IPA from these guys. Some sweetness that balances the hops, which really aren’t that aggressive for an imperial IPA. Nice. The best thing about this is that head is almost creamy. Great stuff.

Big Dog’s Prickly In Pink Berliner Weisse
This was pretty enjoyable. The prickly pear certainly gives it a pink hue. The cactus, while sweet, is just enough sweetness that it cuts through the sourness of the Berliner Weisse base. Overall, a good beer.

Big Dog’s War Dog Imperial IPA
Willrunforbeer hand carried this 22 oz. bottle back from Vegas, much thanks! Golden / orange color with fast dying head. Aroma is pretty fruit upfront and turns into pine.

The flavor profile is pretty good. Grapefruit, nectarine peel or citrus like pith. The bitterness is pretty substantial with lingering pine. Lengthy after the sip. The malt bill is big enough to help with balance but still displays the hops. Dry texture with normal carbonation level.
