Garrold	2.4 John Thompson JTS XXX / Bitter Cask. Gravity dispense. Barrow Hill jamboree. A beer that’s been brewed for donkey’s, yet one I’ve never had. Clear gold. Barely a head. Nose is mostly sweet wort. Taste is thin and sweet. Not sure this cask was ready to go on yet. Not great. Thursday, June 9, 2016
jmgreenuk	2.9 John Thompson JTS XXX / Bitter Cask at the Rail Ale Festival Chesterfield, 2016. Poured a hazy medium amber with little life. The aroma is ovaltine malt. The flavour is light bitter with a light water skunky malt palate. Light bodied with soft carbonation. Tuesday, June 7, 2016
Theydon_Bois	2.7 John Thompson JTS XXX / Bitter Gravity cask at Rail Ale ’16, 20/05/16. Clear amber golden with a moderate off white cap of spotting. Nose is thin, light caramel, grain, straw, twiggy. Taste comprises faint caramel, biscuit, grain, straw, light malt bill. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, semi drying close with light bitterness. haddonsman	2.6 John Thompson JT 80 Ah, the joys of digging back through old programmes to find my notes on a beer just so I can maintain a 100% rating record for the brewer. Handpump, Derby BF 2007 (Darwin Suite). And I quote; "Plain golden beer, some fresh feeling hop, average mix of anonymous fruits, if I make 80 and someone brewed this for me I’d be more than a little pissed off". Monday, July 28, 2008

Flavours are floral with coffee roast malts and some winter fruit. As with the aroma has earthy notes with licourice. Dry on the finish. Pretty good. Monday, February 28, 2005

chriso	2.9 John Thompson JTS Summer Gold / Ale / Brew Beer #17 at Dartford Beer Festival with SilkTork and Duff. Golden colour. Not cloudy, but some lumpy yeast particles in suspension. A quick sniff confirmed that this beer wasn’t really ready - the aroma was very green, with a whiff of sulphur too. The flavour was very dry, with some citrus notes but, again, the beer was manifestly not ready. Not bad, but could have been much better with another day to condition. Cask (gravity dispense).
