George Wright Mark's Mild
Draught (Dispensary, Liverpool) (5:4:5:3:10=2.7) Black tea aroma, but a hint of sourness. Full smooth palate. Tanniny bitter taste, earthy, a bit minerally, again a hint of sourness. Toffee finish, treacly. Not on form, alas.

George Wright Mark's Mild
Dispensary, Liverpool; 29th June 2019. Hand-pulled half-pint. It had just come on and I was the first person to have one, had to wait while the landlord attached the pump-clip to the pump before he would serve me. It looks and tastes like a Mild, dark and deep brown, tanned topping. Malty and semi-bitter, semi-sweet, nice.

George Wright Mild
Cask at the Dispensary, Liverpool. Dark ruby brown and only slightly translucent. Generous tan head. Liquorice, hazelnuts, black pepper on the aroma. Taste is sweet and nutty with peppery spice and blackberry rounding to the long creamy finish. An absolutely perfect mild, possibly the best example of the style I've had the privilege to drink.

Pours black body and tan cream top in the classic style. Aroma has dark malts with licorice note. Taste is medium bitter with some sweetness and the recurrent licorice. Palate is medium bodied, silky texture, average carbonation, and a long gentle finish. Beerheadz Nottingham provides another reliable stout.

George Wright Northern Lights
Cask at the Sir John Borlase Warren Nottingham. Pours honey amber with thin lace top. Aroma has tangerine pith hops and pale biscuit malt. Taste is medium sweet to sour with an edgy bitter finish that sharpens. Palate is medium bodied, average carbonation, oily texture, and a bitter astringent finish. Overall I am not sure it benefits from the ESB boost.

Cask half-pint at The Crown Inn, Oakengates on 28th Apr 2017. Golden bodied brew with a full white head that lasted. Amarillo hops obviuosly used in the brew: hence the slight citrusy and flowery nose. Taste fairly bland/subtle depending on your viewpoint. Bitter finish to the taste.
