Green Jack Trawlerboys Best Bitter 3
Cask, handpull at The Railway Putney as íGreen Jack Trawlerboys Best Bitterí, 4.6%. Dark amber orange, clear, still, foamy dense white head, thick lacing. Aroma is airy and light, some apple. Body is smooth, soft carbonation. Taste is light, bready, apple peel, varnish, some tang, some twig. Very plain by comparison to, say, the Nethergate bitters I had on the same day. Lacking the character and drinkability that the best beers in the style possess.

Green Jack Mahseer IPA 3.3
Gravity cask at the Cambridge Winter Ales Festival 2016. Golden in colour, very clear with a wispy white head. Light aroma of orchard fruit with some sulphur and citrus. Bittersweet taste which is high on the astringency. Bitter and slightly sadly aftertaste with some hard citrus, almost like a tequila slammer without the tequila. All in all an OK beer.

Cask. Pour golden with thin cream top. Aroma citrus. Taste sweet with red grapefruit and caramel malt. Slightly over-carbonated for my taste. Soft hoppy finish - medium body at best. The pale ales have become so numerous that itís getting harder for the passable to good to compete. Especially in Nottingham where local brewers are outstanding.

Green Jack Ripper 2.7
Handpull cask at Engineers Arms 2015 Beer Festival, Henlow. Golden brown with plentiful white head. Buttered toast and weedkiller in the aroma. Not balanced or pleasant to smell. Sweet syrupy taste, but the vegetal/medicinal note pervades in the finish. Body is full as would be expected. This beer has problems.

Green Jack Orange Wheat Beer 3.7
Bottle from 3at3, drunk at home. Hazy golden brown, with a smattering of white head. Tempting marmalade aroma, with a bit of lemon peel. Taste is a jammy sweet/spicy, simple but delicious. Well judged carbonation lifts the body, and thereís a sweet orangeadey hit right at the end. I really enjoyed this, perfect for an autumn evening.

Green Oak Jackham Pick-Up 3.5
Gravicask (PBF2015, Thursday)
Very rich sweet aroma, rich biscuity malts, but spicy hops too - but a touch papery. Gold, brief head. Lovely rich mallty body, but not sweet or sticky. Has a nice spicy peppery finish that keeps it moreish. Pleasant raisins in the malts later, and more fruit in the aroma too. Goes down beautifully. Didnít know it had Oakham involvement when rating, so this isnít fanboi-ism.

old ass review just found on my phone. Goes back to Aug 2013. Presumably a bottle share with the lovely and sexy Ferris. Highly detailed notes claim: :light sweetness, orange rind, lemon, earthy shit, pepper and heat". Sounds like a winner... not.

Green Jack Summer Dream 3.4
Cask at Draft House as íSummer Dreamí 4%. Says itís brewed for Draft House, but Iíll assume itís the same beer. Pale yellow, clear, still, small foamy white head. Aroma has lots of elderflower as promised, green apple. Body is medium, smooth, low carbonation. Taste is light, biscuity, elderflower, minerals and dissolved sugars, quite watery but with a musty bitterness that builds. The bar staff werenít impressed but I thought it was nice enough - light and easy.

Green Jack Waxwing 2.7
Tasted this in the Salt Cot, Saltcoats (JDW) on the 18th July 2015. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear pale amber in colour with a thin white head. Very short malty aroma with a whiff of weak citrus. Thin resiny mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale malt gives a dry digestive biscuit base with tart grapefruit and an unusual note of sweet toffee. Dry metallic tang to the hoppy aftertaste which builds into an increasing astringency. Very slight edge for the malt in the weak finish with citrus pith but little else of note. A poor Golden Ale for the Green Jack portfolio - sorry to say.
