Crater Lager
Boy, you really know who your mates are when they send you a bottle that they rate as their worst ever beer. Ta Beerledgend, no really!!! To be fair I think my sample was better than his as I don’t really detect the acidity. The aroma is actually a bit on the H2Sl side which hits you as soon as the top is popped. This dies away when poured and left to sit though. Well, this is a pale and weak looking sample. Light yellow with a billowy head that soon dissipates. There is no nose after a while and certainly no real hop presence either in aroma nor taste. The taste is simply missing, it is a beer but by definition only. Certainly a contender for a drainpour but nothing yet is worse than my sample of Michelob Ultra.

Crater Dark
Sold on tap at Pig and Whistel pub as "Snout Dark ale" Is not and ale but more of a dark lager. Darkbrown/amber in colour with medium creamy head of toffee colour. Again no aroma but had roasted coffe tatse but not any big oooph that a dark lager should have. Boring but the better of the tow beers.

Crater Pilsener
On tap at Pig and Whistle Pub in Rotorua and slod as "Swine Lager". Bright golden colour with small head, mild bitterness with smokey aftertaste. Very littel aroma but what aroma there is is sweet malty/citrus.

Crater Pilsener
Pale gold, coarse carbonation, tightish white head. Sweet, apple-like aroma with a metallic hint. Smooth malty taste with a hint of hop, and a notable alcohol taste despite the low abv. Flavours and aromas become very "appley" as it warms.

Crater Pilsener
looked and tasted like something which should have the words ’premium’ and ’dry’ on the label. a very well-hidden lack of alcohol. no nz saaz, let alone the czech stuff. but i do like bottles with handles

Crater Pilsener
Watery as hell. A faint appley sweetness, and a dry vacuum of a finish. Faint smell of ants and acetic infection provides the only "interest". If this is their pilsener I can't see how their "lager" could be any less hoppy.
