Westerham Single Hop Azacca
My Bottom Line:
Oranges color this Bitterís tea-like hoppiness, as floral angles tag along the lingering fruitiness.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam covers the translucent golden.
-The mouthfeel is smooth and geared towards high drinkability.
-The barely prickly, natural carbonation is pleasant.
-The floral hop character is a bit soapy at times.

On cask at The John Logie Baird, Hastings.

Westerham Hop Rocket India Pale Ale (Bottle)
Served in a snifter from a 330ml bottle. Pours clear orange-gold amber colour with a medium white foam head leaving decent lacing in the glass. Aroma is citrus, caramel, biscuit, floral with spicy hoppy notes. Taste is citrus, caramel, bitter-sweet orange, slightly nutty, slight bitter aftertaste with a tangy slightly dray finish. Medium to full body with medium carbonation. More hops in the nose would have made this beer even more enjoyable. However, it is still a nice and easy to drink decent brew.

Westerham Hop Rocket India Pale Ale (Cask)
From cask @ The Champion. Itís a blurry or even near clear golden looking one, no real head to talk about just some small bubbles floating on the top. Smells nice. Fruity, with a mild sweetness. Lots of caramel here. Like it. Tastes like a cask conditioned English ipa should. Lots and lots of sweet fruits. Easters and some tones of apples. No carbonation at all and it has a thin oily texture in the mouth. Quite nice - went away quickly. 14.08.2015

Hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is rubber, some malty biscuit notes, tired hoppy notes of grass and orange. Taste is light to medium sweet with toffee, peach and orange, light grassy bitter finish. Medium bodied, soft carbonation.
The rubber is present all the way through...

Cask at the Sovereign of the Seas, golden with a light caramel fruity nose, sweetish body with herby-spicy overtones. Interesting contrast between sweet body and almost acrid citrus bitterness in the finish.

Westerham British Bulldog BB
Handpull cask from the Clarendon Arms, Cambridge. Light brown with a trace of terracotta. Small looseish ring of off-white head. Very little aroma. Some earthy, woody, vinous notes. The malty sweetness is overlaid with a tasty woody astringency. Medium body. It is a fairly average bitter, tasty enough but not one to go out of your way for.

Westerham Scotney Red Ale
Cask at The Claret, Addiscombe. It pours rich brown with a medium white head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, toffee, toasted nut, earth and leather. The taste is bitter, quite spicy, leather, toasted nut mild astringency, toffee, earth and berry skin with a dry, leathery finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Overall its OK but perhaps a bit too spicy and woody to smash back a few pints in a row.

On draught Carpenters Arms Limpsfield Chart. Also at Royal Oak Crockham Hill and The Queens Head Downe. Absolutely first class beer. I purposely travel miles for this. Once, after being served a pint, I remarked on a sign on the bar about guest beers. The barman was happy to change it for me but I declined. "No thanks, this is just about as good as beer gets." This is just about the best balance of malt and hops possible.

Westerham Double Stout
First tried this on draught couple of years back. Saw it in pub and decided to try. Wow! so glad I did, one of the best examples of a stout you can get. Wonderful, complex flavours going on from start to finish, full flavoured and very, very satisfying. Like the best dark chocolate, take slowly and enjoy. Donít rush it and take care not to overindulge the palate. This is best judged against mass market stuff, most of which is one dimensional and ordinary by comparison. An excellent winter beer.

Pale amber ale with a floral aroma. The palate is zesty maltiness with a hint of apple, the finish is bitter hopped but lacking a little depth. This is a nice take on a Kentish ale, the hops are a little bit muted, but quite pleasant.

Westerham Scotney Pale Ale
Pours clear with an amber yellow with a thin head and mild carbonation. Aroma has promise with lemon, orange, tangerine, floral, hint of biscuit, but doesnít quite deliver on the flavour, which is a little harsh possibly down to the Target hops in there. Decent length finish with some bitterness, yet also soapiness. Thin and lacking body. Not bad and slipped down nicely, but wanted more malt and/or hop flavours coming through.
