fiulijn
Barbarossa Landbier Dunkel 3.6
Draught at the brauhaus
Hazy dark amber color. Light caramel aroma; as it often happens for these beers, the hop must not be too aromatic, while the brewer didn’t make the caramel show up more clearly. Good body structure; the caramel flavor is good, maybe very god, round enough, with a limited complementary residual sweetness; correct bitterness. Balanced, and very good.

Barbarossa Hell 3.7
Draught at the brauhaus
Hazy blond color. The aroma is light, there is some quality hop, but it doesn’t appear easily. Mild but good malt flavor, perfectly blending with a mildly grassy hop. Good bitterness level; the final is quite grassy, creamy, with some hay and dry cereals, lovely.
A solid, well made, and very enjoyable beer.

Barbarossa Weizen 2.6
Draught at the brauhaus
Cloudy orange-blond color. Light banana aroma, but also a light sourness, maybe not very fresh. Lean body, with light malt and wheat flavor, and very light banana; the bitterness is quite low. The final is too short, also weak. Nothing special.

Barbarossa Hell 3
This draft brew from the Mirabell restaurant in Chicago This draft brew poured a small sized head of finely sized mostly lasting white colored bubbles that left behind an excellent lacing. The body contained no carbonation, was transparent and yellow orange in color. Its aroma contained crisp notes of malts and hops with a hint of orange. Its mouth feel is slightly tingly crisp yet smooth and had hoppy malty notes in the mildly astringent aftertaste. Its flavor contained malty hoppy astringent notes. The astringency only came out after it warmed up a bit. Best served cold.
