Zilverenmaan	3 Cnudde Oudenaards Bruin Bottle from Willems. Poors dark, slightly reddish brown. Aroma mostly apple sourness, only slightly lactic, some light caramelly malts underneath. Taste again faint, boring apple sourness, metallic, yeasty finish. Faint, quite poor for me, although the lingering sourish aftertaste is pleasant. Thursday, December 6, 2018
nathanvc	3 Cnudde Oudenaards Bruin 20 October 2018. Late birthday dinner at 't Botteltje, Ostend. Pours hazy dark brown, red hue, with a lasting, small, foamy, tan head. Aroma of almond, blackcurrant, raisin, vinegar, dough, caramel, oak. Taste is light to medium fruity sour, blackcurrant & raisin, bit bitter with a woody touch, some nuts; only subtly funky with lactic acid & vinegar. corkyrory66	0.5 Cnudde Oudenaards Bruin Sour brune, ou une brune à rendre sour(d) … Niveau abv de 4,9 % (ils semblent avoir remonter la sauce de 0,2 % pour mieux faire passer le bison ..). Heureusement le format de 25 cl .. nous évite le pire !! Mon exemplaire était à 8 mois après sa date, mais encore vendu en pharmacie .. Couleur acajou, à la clarté nette. Bulles moyennes, partout, vives. Mousse beige, en fin nappage constant de surface. Arômes de boulette farcie, haché de bœuf pas assez grillé, vinaigre, papier mâché. 1ère bouche fluide, sur du vinaigre, de la vieille viande farcie saupoudrée d'herbe à chat. Arrière-bouche affreuse. 2ème sur de la ciboulette baignant dans de l'eau de vaisselle. Arrière-bouche désastreuse. La suite est innommable, ou comme dit ratebeer pour la description : " aucune description disponible ... " (humour américain …). CONCLUSION : j'ai rarement bu quelque chose d'aussi mauvais .. dans aucune partie du monde !! La Belgique l'a inventé ... J'ai pour cette fois encensé le format 25 cl … Inutile de préciser que le 0,5 est en fait un grand zéro .. (humour américain … ou humour de bison …). Tuesday, June 26, 2018

Notes of burn caramel, notes of berries, notes if coffee, very light notes of smoke in the aroma. Slightly acidic beginning. Notes of berries. Burnt caramel in the middle. Acidic notes. Some watery notes. Malty, caramelly hints. Dry, acidic finish. Rather light bodied, interesting oud bruin. Alengrin	3.1 Cnudde Oudenaards Bruin Old-fashioned and only locally distributed Oudenaards oud bruin, with a thin, off-white head and bronze colour; not bottled, only available from tap in Eine. Straightforward brown beer, malty with estery fruitiness, some iron, rather thin mouthfeel, decent, thirst-quenching. Not the best oud bruin at all but I do like its authenticity: this is the kind of beer that was drunk on a daily basis in this region decades ago, and I am all for the local traditions in this country. Alengrin	2.7 Cnudde Bizon Blend of their regular oud bruin with their kriek, which they make only once a year in very limited edition and named after the buffalo statue in their garden which refers to the liberators of the first World War. Almost no head, colour bronze with reddish hue, misty. Aroma of sour cherries, chocolate, sour cream, hay, strawberry, passion fruit. Estery fruity taste mixed with a genuine presence of sour cherries, subdued oud bruin character with soft malt sweetness, thin and almost watery body, dryish finish because of the sourness of the cherries.
