Cask pint in my local Wetherspoons on 19th April 2016. Good looking beer, clear amber body with an off-white head. Toffee Grapefruit, we’ve all had a Toffee Apple, does anyone know of a Toffee Grapefruit, if so this beer smells and tastes like one. I liked it.

Yeovil Lynx Wildcat 2.8
Tasted this in the Salt Cot, Saltcoats (JDW) on the 5th April 2016. Cask, handpump dispense. Crystal clear pale copper in colour with a thin off white head. Slightly hoppy aroma with a hint of grapefruit peel. Thin resiny mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale malt gives a light digestive biscuit base with a juicy grapefruit flavour. Citrus note present in the light bitter aftertaste with a dry earthy background. Finish is slightly malty by a nose with a hint of pink grapefruit sweetness coming through at the end. A so-so standard session bitter.

Yeovil Ruby 3.2
Hallmark aroma for the cask ale apparently is caramel malts Reddish brown no head to speak of. Despite hints of dark fruit in the scent it is not overly sweet. And there is a growing bitterness on the palate. Personally I found the palate more watery than smooth. However one has to make allowance for a pour from the barrel at a festival. I would certainly drink it again.

Yeovil Glory 2.6

Yeovil Glory 2.9
Cask at The Green Dragon, Leek (JDW) A clear pale amber colour with a thin white head. Aroma of red berries, some nutty malt, slight biscuit and subtle orange. Taste of red berries, nuts, subtle chocolate, slight caramel, orange and some spicy hops. Light bodied but a watery texture. A dry, nutty, spicy hop bitterness in the finish. Looked and smelled below average so wasn’t looking forward to it but it’s really well balanced with a decent hop profile. Little thin and inconsistent to be good though.

Cask at the Commercial Rooms, JDW - Bristol. Pours totally clear copper-gold with a creamy, light tan head. Grainy aroma, some toasted hay, leaves. Light sweet flavor, mildly astringent, with some grainy brown brad, husk, leaves, earth. Light bodied with fine carboantion; decent condition. Bitter finish, with dry toasty bread and grains, faint citrusy hops, bitter earth and leaves, slight tea. Not bad overall. A little astringent at first, but thankfully that quality relaxes over time (perhaps the palace adjusts). OK.

Yeovil Yolo #3 Citra 3.6
Cask @ The Tiger Inn , Bridport . The Citra hops are obvious as they climb out the glass in an accent of American citrus zest .. with a musty woody pine vibe that makes me visualize a log cabin in some rustic forest .... like in a Friday the 13th movie. Grapefruit notes too ! A bright murky banana yellow beer with just a small ass ring of white. I like Citra hops , the citrus vibes they offer in beers like Sierra Nevada Torpedo do grare things to pale ales as is custom . This beer is mild . sure the citra is vibrant but its still medium on any kinda bitter onslaught ....If the hops were turned up a little more this would be a better pale ale . its a bit unassuming , but still a pretty good beer .

Orange in colour, the head does settle to a nice tight white collar. Aroma of pine, resinous hop and fruit gums. Taste is a little sweet, then bitter. Lively carbonation, a tasty beer with more fruit gums and a massive bitter finish. Overall - pretty good.
