Bush Prestige (Scaldis Prestige)
750ml bottle at Koht. Amber colour. Modest white head. Hints of berries, hints of berrywine, sourness, herbal and spicy notes in the aroma. Caramel, oakiness, hints of berries and wine at first. Caramelly notes, liqeury notes in the middle. Berrywine, alcochol, spices in the end. Quite complex, bit liqeury, alcocholy, but still enjoyable belgium strong ale.

Bush de Nuits (Scaldis Prestige de Nuits)
750ml bottle, age 2014, from Bier Tempel, Brussels. Dried dark fruits, red wine, rich. Pours medium brown with a slight white foam. Taste of rich thickness but not thick, if you will, again dark fruits, maybe caramel, s bit of red wine dryness, with some oak back notes with Belgian yeasts, some phenolics. The finish is clean. I will buy this beer again.

Boy, this one fills your heart with a lot of love and turn you on pretty quickly. A classic strong Ale that is remarkably drinkable, with a solid alcohol level and generous aftertaste. Not the most surprising one, but definitely a great choice for any occasion ! APPROVED BY TAVERNY’S BLACK METAL CREW !

750mL corked & caged bottle from Beer Cartel. It must be said - this beer has majesty before even sampling - an amazing bottle, a placard full on info, an just amazing appearance before a deep copper body is presented. Aroma exudes ripe fruits, dried fruits, burnt caramels, typical phenolic & esters! Body is unbelivably strong but works so well - wow!

Bush Blonde (Scaldis)
33cl bottle at home (24 VI 2016). Yellow to golden coloured, even amber looking beer, with a firm frothy, snow white collar on top. The body is quite hazy. This is a pretty good looking and welcoming brew for sure. The nose has solid hints of grapes, white wine, and slight features of malt. The taste is not bad. There is a lot of sweetness at the very start, but then comes the spiritlike, alcohol warming sensation. Making this a strong bodied brew with a gin dryness, almost like a jenever infused brew. The alcohol covers a lovely strong blonde features, I presume. As for the mouthfeel, the texture is a bit oily. The wood accents add to the dry effect. The ending of course is pretty alcoholic and heavy. Yet this keeps on being a heavy yet very drinkable strong brew.

Surfine Saison
Bottle from World Beer Market (Sake no Taniguchi). Nose of yeast, and big, zesty citrus, and light spice. Hazy light amber/orange color, with a massive, thick off-white meringue-like head that lasts and lasts. Sharp citrus initial, followed by moderate bitterness, a touch of pepper, and then more citrus re-emerges, with a slight Belgian yeast bite, and a dry finish. Pleasant. Quite full-bodied for the style (but then they do call it a "triple" saison). Astounding head, really.

Aroma:
Medium aroma of malts, Belgian yeast, honey and spices.

Appearance:
Clear/hazy yellow/golden beer with a slight white/off-white head.

Taste/Palate:
Heavy sweet and slightly/medium dry with malts, Belgian yeast, honey and spices.

Overall:
This beer is intense, rather complex, but could be more balanced. This beer is amazing, though it is intense beyond believe. You can really taste why this beer is great for barrel aging. It is super sweet and intense, but the overall quality is simply superb.

Bush Ambrée (Scaldis)
330 ml bottle into tulip glass, best before 3/10/2016. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy deep orange/amber color, with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big lemon, orange, peach, apricot, mango, pear, pineapple, pepper, clove, honey, brown sugar, biscuit, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, dark/beady malt, and light earthy hop notes; with great strength. Taste of big lemon, orange, peach, apricot, mango, pear, pineapple, pepper, clove, honey, brown sugar, biscuit, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Moderate yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, orange, peach, apricot, mango, pear, pineapple, pepper, clove, honey, brown sugar, biscuit, herbal, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, dark/beady malt, and light earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/spiciness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from yeast spiciness as well. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a smooth, moderately creamy/bready, and lightly sticky balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is fairly well hidden with a small warmth lingering after the finish, with no booziness. Overall this is a very nice Belgian strong pale ale. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, dark/beady malt, and light earthy hop flavors; very smooth and easy to sip on for the huge ABV. A very enjoyable offering.

Served in a snifter from a 750ml bottle. Pours slightly hazy amber with a thick off-white head. Aroma is really complex: bread, dried fruits, raisins, caramel, winey with notes of honey and subtle alcohol. Taste is caramel, bread, molasses, grass, warm alcohol sensation within bitter-sweet finish. Full body with medium carbonation, oily texture. Warming feeling from high ABV is laced through from start to finish. Extremely nice, rich and complex beer.

Bottle shared at Jay’s music&beer mixing bash. Interesting one, not very lambic-like though, yellow peach is very present but more in a dried fruit or jam way, caramel malt base, notes of candy, finishes quite sweet yet not cloying. Not bad, not great, fairly original peach brew.

BB 15 Jan 17. Pours hazy gold with dense white head. Lots of candi sugar in the aroma, along with bready malt, a little banana, alcohol. Bottle from Brewtopia. Pure gold with slight haze lasting white head and lace. Mild spicy leafy fruity aroma. Apricot sweetness with some light grassy malt and spicy long bitterness to balance the sweetness. Medium light body fine carbo with a little bite. Seems more like a Duvel wannabee than a tripel. Very spicy slightly tart finish from the hops and yeast I guess. Pretty good but not top notch.

Bush Pêche Mel
330ml bottle from Beervana. Pours a hazy bright orange color with a medium white frothy head that diminishes slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is strongly peachy, really intense, perfumey. Peach liquor, apricots and bubblegum notes. Some strong phenolic traces as well. Not much cereal aromas, and zero hops. Taste is sweet with subtle, moderate tartness. Fruity peach flavors dominate throughout but they contain a strong grainy backbone. Low acidity and the sweetness continues all the way through the finish. It’s not cloying and not too sticky anyway. Medium body. Alcohol warming is a plus in this case. Soft carbonation. A fairly good and enjoyable fruit beer, but far from the best of the consistent Dubuisson brewery.
