3 East End Summer Hill Hazy yellow pour. Fluffy head that does dissipate. Some lacing. Strong aroma of hops, almost exclusively. Plenty of hop bitterness on the palate, though it's light on carbonation. Bit of citrus up front. Finish is clean, just hoppy. As I'm not typically fond of hop-forward bitterness, this is a pass for me, but if you like hop heavy light beers, you'll enjoy this one. Saturday, July 8, 2023

3.1 East End Caution Slippy Nice beer from my hometown brewery. Aroma was kind of weak. Dank hops were there but very weak. Pour was a nice hazy medium gold with a thin white film for a head. Taste was good. I don’t like that not being bitter is a plus. I love old school bitter IIPAs. Creamy with a light grassy hop flavor with mild carbonation. Wet, somewhat sweet finish. Almost like sweet tea. Not bad. Alcohol is well hidden Thursday, June 22, 2023

3.6 East End Big Hop IPA From 12 ounce can bought as part of a mixed 6 pack at McNeilly's Beer, 6 Packs And More in Pittsburgh on June 11, 2023. Dark amber hue, bittersweet aroma with the bittersness taking a back seat, good bittersweet taste with the hops in the forefront. I like the trendy milkshake and hazy IPAs but it's really refreshing to have a solid, staightforward IPA like this one. Sunday, June 18, 2023

2.7 East End Seedless Watermelon Gose Pounder can from the $1 clearance rack. Pour is hazy pale. Nose is weird metallic volatile tart beer. Pretty interesting on the first taste, comes across like a decent wild brew. Goodly level of co2, quite sizzling. Yea there is watermelon in there if you look forward, but it is certainly not up front or in yer face. Quite nice on balance. I wasn't thinking I would like this but I'm pleasantly surprised. Not bad EE. On the finish the watermelon and rind does start to increase but it never gets beyond an intolerable level. I would say this actually a pretty good wild open vat brew. Not much salt in this goz-zah, heheeh. This is probably one of the better watermelon beers I've had over the years. Monday, February 6, 2023

2.9 East End Hefe Weizen 12 oz can from Cousin at Caroday The ale poured a hazy light amber color with a small white head that quickly dissipated with no lacing. 3.1 East End Toaster - Bourbon Barrel Aged Can @ Caps & Taps. Pours black with a thin tan head. Pretty darn smokey. Get a fair amount of oak, bourbon, and some soy sauce. Certainly boozy. 4.4 East End Gratitude - Rye Whiskey Barrel 12 oz can. Pours a very dark reddish brown color and capped by a small tan layer of foam that coats the glass in lace. The aroma shows loads of ripe, dark fruit, plums, rich caramel, toasted toffee, and rye spice over a toasted bread malt base with ample whiskey soaked oak. The flavor follows suit with the ripe, dark fruits with raisins and plums coming through along with the rich caramel and toffee malts with a balanced rye spice on the back end. The whiskey oak and light warmth tie it all together. Medium bodied and smooth with subtle carbonation that leads to a slightly bitter sweet caramel, toffee, plum, and rye whiskey oak on the finish. Really awesome stuff here. Tuesday, July 19, 2022
