Zlotta	2.9 Medardusbräu Schwattes 0.25 l on tap at the Brauhaus at 4.8% abv. Clear, dark reddish brown with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, off-white head. Sweetish-malty, a bit roasty aroma of caramel, toasted nuts and hints of bread crust. Quite sweet, malty, minimally bitter, moderately roasty and a little grassy-spicy taste of caramel, toasted nuts, some straw and a touch of milk chocolate, followed by a short, slightly bitter, moderately roasty and a bit grassy-spicy finish. Thin to medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Decent Dunkel, quaffable, not too deep and a bit too much carbonation. Tuesday, March 6, 2018
Zlotta	2.7 Medardus Aroma-Pils 0.25 l on tap at the Brauhaus as 'Medardus Pils' at 4.8% abv. Clear, golden with a medium large, foamy, stable, white head. Slightly sweetish, moderately grassy-spicy and a bit bready aroma of grains, straw and traces of citrus. Just a little sweet, quite dry, moderately bitter, rather grassy-spicy taste of grains, straw and a touch of citrus, followed by a short, medium bitter, grassy-spicy and a little metallic finish. Thin to medium body, quite effervescent mouthfeel, average to lively carbonation. Solid Pils, highly thirst-quenching at least. Tuesday, March 6, 2018

Starts intense malty, modest earthy-roasty, more and more sourish with some fruity notes of raisins. The sourish notes are not too intense. Well balanced finish, quite drinkable. Nice! Erzengel	2.9 Medardusbräu Schwattes Der Geruch ist ganz leicht trocken-röstmalzig. Geschmacklich ist es im ersten Eindruck kein typisches Dunkles. Der Antrunk ist mild-süffig, dabei leicht säuerlich. Im Hauptteil wird es etwas malziger, leicht süßlich. Erst im Nachgeschmack kommen ganz entfernt Röstmalz-Aromen zur Geltung, die süßlich-neutrale Note allerdings überwiegt. Ganz zum Schluss verbleibt auf der Zunge eine leicht trocken-röstmalziger Geschmack - immerhin! Für ein "Standart" Brauhaus-Dunkel ist es dennoch erstaunlich gut! Erzengel	1.1 Medardus Osterbräu Im Geruch ist das Ganze schon muffig-komisch. Der Antrunk ist muffig-neutral. Im Hauptteil wird es etwas süßlicher, aber der muffige Unterton bleibt. Der Nachgeschmack hat was von muffigem Senf - er ist ziemlich undefinierbar und hinterlässt ein pelziges Gefühl auf der Zunge. Ohne etwas zu Essen dabei ist dieses Gebräu absolut ungenießbar! Erzengel	2.6 Medardusbräu Also ein Helles ist dieses Bier definitiv nicht - schon allein die Farbe ist orange-trüb-bernsteinfarben... Der Antrunk ist neutral-süffig, leicht säuerlich. Im Hauptteil wird es herber, aber bleibt auf Grund der Hefetrübung doch ziemlich mild - fast schon etwas laff. Der Nachgeschmack ist mittellang und etwas muffig-trocken, dabei leicht herb. --> Ein gut zu trinkendes Brauhausbier, dem aber doch beachtliche Charaktertiefe fehlt! Erzengel	4.2 Medardus Weizenbier Merkwürdig an diesem einzigen Bier, das diese Brauhauskette in 0,5l Flaschen anbietet ist, dass es einen Kronkorken der Nassauischen Privatbrauerei Hahnstätten trägt. Außerdem ist es das einzige Bier aus Lüdenscheid, dass nicht den typischen "Brauhaustouch" hat. Deswegen vermute ich mal, dass sie es nicht selber brauen, sondern z.B. in Alsfeld, wo auch die Nassauer Biere herkommen, brauen lassen. Das Bier hat einen sehr schön cremigen Schaum. Der Antrunk ist mild und rund, wie es sich für ein ordentliches Weizen gehört. Im Hauptteil kommt die schöne Hefenote voll zur Geltung - ein cremig-mildes Biererlebnis mit einem kleinen Hauch von Banane. Es ist sehr süffig und kaum herb. Der Nachgeschmack ist auch sehr mild und cremig-süßlich-hefig. Es gibt nur eine ganz entfernt bittere Note. --> Ein sehr schön vollmundiges, mildes Weizen. Absolute Spitzenklasse. Koelschtrinker	3 Medardus Maibock Hell würziger Antrunk, leicht säuerlich, angenehm. Im Mittelteil etwas milder, leicht getreidig, die Würzigkeit wird etwas zurückgeschraubt, kommt aber im Abgang wieder hervor, diesmal stärker und mit deutlich hopfig-süßer Note. Zuletzt etwas alkoholisch und mittelmalzig. Etwas einfach und sehr zahm gehalten, trotzdem das mit Abstand beste Bier der Brauerei. dortmunder	2.3 Medardus Weizenbier Bottled. Cloudy, yellow colour, Medium, quickly diminishing head. Vegetable aroma, with notes of banana and yeastiness. Luckily no vegetable taste, but a bit heavy on banana and bubblegum. Yeasty, not very citric. A hint of bitterness in the lightly tart finish. A bit thinbodied, maybe.
