Full body, no carbonation. tastes of green apples, citric, light vinegar, bit musty. finishes very dry and medium sour with notes of grass, citrus and green apples. nice one overall, not very complex but very dry and thirst quenching. good one overall. Beer5000	3.6 Saizar Sidra Natural On tap @ Restaurante El Horno de Aralar (Asador Sidreria) in Pamplona, Spain. As a part of a cider lunch menu the cider was available on self-service tap as a “drink as much you want” concept. Unclear golden body with a small and fast disappearing white head. Quite strong apple aroma, mostly apple cores and some acidity with a hint of yeast. Flavor is acidic sour apple, but compared with other sidra natural it’s not among the sourest one. Balanced body with a long lasting, tart aftertaste. A fine and refreshing accomplishment for my lunch and probably a nice cider to start with if not familiar with the acidic Basque ciders. Glouglouburp	3.5 Saizar Sidra Eusko Label In short: A typical Sidra with sharp acidity. How: From the wood barrel at Sagardoetxea, Astigarraga Spain. The look: Mostly cloudy dark blonde body with almost no head. To me a typical Sidra is: Funky aroma of medium intensity with many light color fruits in the back (not just apples). Body is medium in size, a texture that is both juicy and doughy and with minimal carbonation. Taste is a lot less apple-forward than a regular cider with apples but also various light color tropical/citrus/exotic fruits. Yeast presence accompanied by a bready sensation. Typical Sidras have a mild sourness and ends with a mild-medium acidic bite. Thirst quenching and also a bit nourishing. This one: Pretty much as above (archetypical Sidra) with a little more acidity. I poured myself a glass of this one direct from the barrel, the traditional txotx way, and I don’t want to brag, but I can brag much much better than you. Wednesday, September 10, 2014

Fin	3.2 Saizar Sidra Natural Had this at Mundaka campsite, Basque Country, Northern Spain sat outside Frank (camper) 06.07.11 Pours sunshine yellow. This is a touch tart from the off with a citrus aroma which is subtle along with the apple also subdued. sebletitje	3.3 Saizar Sidra Natural Bouteille (anno 2009) 375ml, 6% achetée @ San Sébastian. Une très belle couleur rappelant le vin blanc. Un léger trouble de levure tourbillonne dans le fond. Arôme est effectivement de pur jus de pomme laissant transparaitre une aigreur fruitée. En bouche, on a un cidre typique de cette région basque. Beaucoup de pommes aigres/citronnée, note ce côté un peu épicé du murissement en tonneau avec une levure qui reste fine au palais. Agréable à déguster, on ressent de suite ces notes de vergers, pommes fraiches avec une levure qui laisse ce petit picotement. Tuesday, March 15, 2011
