Nose is bready malts, light biscuit crumb, orange peel, straw. Taste comprises orange zest, grass, light mineral bite, bread dough, toasted grains, melon. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close splashed with mellow light juicy hop bitterness. Decent enough cask pale. Thursday, April 4, 2024

Taste comprises orange pith, light grapefruit, pine needle, hint of dankness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close splashed with balanced hop bitterness. BeardedAvenger	3.1 Surrey Hills Gilt Trip Growler from cask, bought at the brewery. Was told that this beer is the 'big brother' of Gilt Complex bit of sure how that works as it's the same ABV. Aroma is citrusy with a stone fruit sweet edge. Medium gold. Frothy translucent white head provides 50% coverage. Medium-heavy bitter. Sour citrus and quinine. Some malts into the finish. Light bodied. Thin if slick. Average carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. Not great, I guess it's a big brother because they dumped more hops in but dumped is the operative word.
