3.7 PB & C Dark Strong Ale Bottle, 75cl wine corked, at RBNG-14 Grand Tasting. Caused a bit trouble this one as no one brough a wine opener. But we conquered it. It’s dark brown in color, with a small, off-white head. The aroma has a wonderful sourish touch, with dark dried fruits, coffee notes, chocolate and salty licorice. Full body with quite a lot of carbonation. Semi-dry. Dark dried fruits and roasted malts in the flavor, some bitterness chiming in. Lasting finish with a nice peppery and sourish touch. Sure nice this one. 140215 Tuesday, February 18, 2014

4 PB & C 'Mpardist Ale 03.05.2013. 0,33l Bottle. Licchio’s, Taormina, Sicily. New beer from Pb &Co, the ’Mpardist Ale. Best before 15.08.2040. When I ordered this beer, the waiter warned me, This is too special, take something else! You need a strong cheese or something with it!!! This is a very strange beer that is a mix with, I think cherry and some kind of wine or grapejuice. Dark brown colour with no head. Aroma of cherry an white wine grapes. Very sweet an rich with lots of fruit and flavours of everything else but beer. Strong with 11%abv. Low on bitterness. Very fruity. Malty also. Strong good, and veeery special! The waiter told me that this beer is mainly delivered to 5 star hotels, and that Licchio’s only got one case or two. Therefor I had to buy one extra to bring home. Look forward to open that one in 2040! Tuesday, May 14, 2013

3.1 PB & C Red Strong Ale 33cl bottle. Hazy pale blondish yellow in color with a small white head. The aroma is yeasty and Belgian with slight funk and floral hops, maybe some wheat. The flavor is like a Belgian blond that maybe ventures slightly into the witbier realm. Yeast dominates the pale malt base and there is mild hop bitterness. A little rough/unpolished on the flavor but pretty good still. Medium body with higher carbonation level and a lively palate. Not bad for a Sicilian beer. A good tick. Friday, June 24, 2011
