MeadMe	4.1 Bartlett Mead (Sweet) Pours pale with a tinge of yellow. Aroma is subtle. Rick candy with vanilla and a hint of earth. Flavor is lovely. Light honey with notes of vanilla. Subtle pear with a mild botanical character. I am blown away by the subtle complexity of this mead. Medium in body, smooth. Wonderful. Thursday, April 30, 2015

Aroma is sweet with honey of course not cloying and just right with light floralness... Flavors are mostly sweet, dessert like but not cloyingly so. Semi-sweet somewhat boozy but almost expected. IrishBoy	3.6 Bartlett Mead (Dry) Bottle from porterhouse; Thanks Kevin!!! Nose sm4ells like a muscato desert wine, not sweet but yeasty and fruity! Translucent pale yellow with a coating of ultra fine bubbles on the sides of the glass; flavor is dry and semi-sweetwith honey and white grape notes; finish has a tiny bit of alcohol warmth. Could have almost passed as a cross between a chardonnay wine and a junmai sake. Wish this bottle had been the 375ml and the Bartlett Sweet was the 750ml! Friday, April 18, 2008

Nose is like a tart chardonnay, with a very slight touch of a funkiness; color is a sake-like translucenct very pale yellowish tinge; crystallike in it’s diffraction of the ambient light! Flavor is suprisingly sweet after the nose, light honey and apply pearishness; finish is lightly sweet, fading into a light honey note! Excellent mead! Get some from Kevin and rate it!!! porterhouse	4.1 Bartlett Mead (Sweet) (375 ml bottle from <A HREF=http://www.ratebeer.com/Place/maine/augusta/lou’s-beverage-barn/4790.htm target=blank>Lou’s Beverage Barn, cellared for 1 year after purchase) Like a white wine with nectar...Pours clear very pale straw yellow - basically looks like white wine. Aroma is also like white wine - even has a fermented white grapey aroma along with subtle honey and clover sweetness. Mouthfeel is smooth, wine-like, lightly sticky. Droplets lace inside of snifter. Flavor is like a fine white wine with a light nectary honeysuckle sweetness. Finishes with a hint of almost sourish yeastiness. Alcohol well-hidden (unlike the Bartlett Dry). Tasty. Sweet. Elegant. Very light fine bubbles. Aroma is lightly sweet, a little yeasty, wine-like. Mouthfeel is dry, smooth, light and sticky. Flavor is quite hot right upfront. Sweet but not overly. Has quite a yeasty presence mixed with some earthy and light fruit and honey sweetness. Quite refined. In many ways like a strong white wine or sake. This stuff is quite potent!
