Pours a hazy amber body with a thick and lasting head. Nice aroma of yeast and hops. Nice creamy taste, really easy drinking. Nothing out of the ordinary but still a very nice and friendly beer with a nice character from the hops which gives it personality.

Bottle. Deep Amber/orange, with a large frothy white head. Aromas of breakfast juice, spicy hops, fruity and slightly grassy. Strong Belgian ale characteristics - peach, esters, yeast, dry, grassy hops, nutty malts and an alcohol level that detracts. Quite a rich mouthfeel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

HaandBryggeriet Fyr og Flamme 3.8
Bottle from Coppers, Newcastle. Hazy amber coloured with a slight orange and peppery hop flavour with warming toffee and a slightly spicy finish. This tastes more like an English style IPA to me, but still very good.

Nice deep red amber color with a fine tan head. Good lacing down the sides of the glass. Rather rich cherry aroma, but stays within a proper limit. Solid body and a fine smooth carbonation. Mellow nice sweetness and a pleasant mild sourness. Really nice and pleasant rich mellow cherry and wood flavor in this one. Maybe a bit one dimensional. So what. It was really nice. And I want more.

Sensoric. Bottle. Deep brown/reddish witm medium, semi-densed color. Poor lacing and head retention. Nice medium smoked wood aroma along with some black fruits accents. Taste is semi-dry with some nice smokey malty finish. Medium body, sticky texture, lively carbonation. In general interesting and complementary dark fruits and smokey combination.

Bottle shared, thanks Neil. Rich sour fruit character, quite acidic, feels like baies d’argousier, some tartness with a woodsy edge, fairly dry on the finish with light notes of vinegar. Surprisingly tasty stuff, will hunt for their other brews.

On tap at Crowbar, Oslo. Surprisingly clear, golden, with a white head. Fruity and mild wheaty aroma, a bit candy like, with a hint of yeast and Bassett’s wine gum. Moderate sweet with pleasant fruity flavours, a hint of acidity and a fairly dry finish. Tasty and sessionable, would be nice to try again in the summertime.

HaandBryggeriet Belgisk Pale Ale 3.7

Bottle share at Chriso’s for Kenny’s 20K. Thanks! As ’HaandBryggeriet Costa Rica’, bottled April 2012 at 6.5%. Black with a small foamy brown head. Aroma is chocolate, redcurrant, some coffee. Body is smooth, soft carbonation. Taste is coffee, bourbon biscuit, soft semisweet finish with a touch of ash. Pretty good for a beer that isn’t meant to be aged for the best part of 4 years!

Flaska från SB. En välhumlad APA/IPA. Osäker på var det belgiska kommer in. Fina fruktiga dofter och smaker. Citrus, aprikos, persika, tallskott och karamell. Relativt stor resinbeska. En bra IPA, ganska stiltypisk västkust-IPA.

Taste is slightly sour and dry from the beginning of degustation. Light to medium body, average carbonation, finish is dry and lighthly sour. HaandBryggeriet Haandbakk 3.7
0.5 bottle. Hazy, dark brown color and a small, off-white head. Aroma is vinous, acetic, yeasty, sour. Taste is obviously sour, once again acetic, a tad fruity. A medium body, a slick texture, and a soft carbonation. Finish is even sourer than the rest, introduces strong notes of wood. Overall the beer is definitely too sour to be drinkable; however, I do enjoy feisty brews with flavors full of character. This one certainly falls into this category without offending.

500ml bottle, beer gift from OleR received a long time ago. Cheers to you, Ole. Shared at a rating session with Finn and djoeye. Decent tan-coloured head. Spotty lacing. Coal back body colour. Tart berry fruit on the nose offset by brown malty sweetness. Mixed taste of red berries, oak, tart dark fruits and caramel. Slightly vinous impression. Lingering mid-dry ending. Medium bodied. Tasty (Tromsø 01.02.2016).

500ml bottle, batch 666, received from OleR in April 2014, many thanks. Stored in my cellar and finally shared at a session with djoeye and Finn. Decent fawn-coloured head covering a dark ruby coloured body. Spotty lacework. Inviting aromas of dried fruits and brown malts. Good taste of red and black berries, raisin, caramel and dark fruit. Jam-like impression. Welcome roasted malty bitterness to the ending joined by warming heat from the alcohol. Full bodied. Well made sipper (Tromsø 01.02.2016).

Bottle share at Kenny’s 20,000th beer celebration. Thanks! As ’HaandBryggeriet Humlekanon IPA’. Pale orange, clear, lightly sparkling, huge foamy off-white head, dotted lacing. Aroma is lager-like, malt-forward, a little floral. Body is light, tingly carbonation, a bit foamy. Taste is soft, more lager, some astringent green banana, apple. Not for me at all. Really couldn’t get on with this one.

HaandBryggeriet Norse Porter (2012-) 3.4
Bottle. Tall Boys, Leeds. Opened with a big pfft. Clear, very dark, chestnut brown. Huge, bubbly, lasting, tan head. Nose has fruity, vinous, caramel sweet malts. A hint of earthy, unwashed coffee bean. Hint of treacle. Hint of savoury smoke. Taste is sweet, fruity, smoky, and light, roast bitter. Palate is fairly full, but is let down by being way too fizzy. Any richness you might expect is spoiled by the fact it’s frothing all over the shop. Long, fruity, bitter finish. Overall, it’s ok.

butelka, warka do 05.03.2016 (a wiec rozlana prawie dwa lata temu). brazowy, z rubinowymi przeblyskami, z bardzo bujna piana, nieco mydlanie opadajaca, ladnie brudzaca szklo. Aromaty bardzi intensywne, ciemne owoce (wisnie, sliwki suszone), kawa, czekolada, palonosc... tez jakies a la drewniano-ziemne nutki takie, moze nawet tytoniowe. w ustach slodko, ciut kwaskowato, gladko, owocowo, ze srednim wysyceniem. niewysoka goryczka popiolowa. srednio ciala, szybko znikajace z pokala. Bardzo pasuje mi rownowaga tego piwa, przechylona w strone owocowosci. klasa.
