The bourbon definitely came through, and usually I’d think 6.6% was a bit light for barrel ageing, but this really worked. I really didn’t get many hopped up under 4% beers in the US back in 2008. This lacked a bit in the body, but was crisp and easy drinking with a nice hoppy nose. Monday, April 13, 2020

Quite earthy, and dry with not very much balance, but if you like bitter stouts, it’s pretty decent. Saturday, November 30, 2019

Fantastic, full on, West Coast hoppy aroma; tons of pine, grapefruit and tropical fruits, with malty undertones. Very well crafted bitterness that balances very nicely in the linger. raphael	3.6 Lucky Labrador Benvention Imperial Mild I've never had a mild, and doubt this is true to form. Came across (but did not drink) an "imperial mild" before, and thought that label funny & oxymoronic (like the "session barleywine" i did drink.) Are milds supposed to be dark like this, a deep reddish brown? I enjoyed this, a little on the sweet side but pretty well balanced (higher IBUs than normal for style.) Resiny hop flavor w/d dark cherry and toffee. light and clear on the palate. aroma of sawdust, toffee and cherry. Tuesday, November 19, 2019
