Botrytis	3.9 Szent András Magyar Vándor Im Glas leicht opaltrüb und bernsteinfarben. Die cremefarbene, feinporige Schaumkrone ist dabei überaus stabil und unglaublich langlebig. In die Nase strömen in erster Linie sehr saftig mit fruchtig-floralen Noten von Pfirsich, Marille und Hollunderblüte. Der Antrunk kommt frisch, weich und fruchtig-herb. Im Mundgefühl zeigt sich ein Körper mit mäßiger Fülle, feiner Rezenz, samtiger Textur und einem schönen Spiel aus Süße und Trockenheit. Aromatisch finden sich die fruchtigen und floralen Noten von Steinobst und Hollunderblüte wieder. Hinzu kommt eine herbale bis leicht harzige Hopfenaromatik und einer passenden Bitterkeit, die für Ausgewogenheit sorgt. Das ergibt ein sehr schönes und harmonisches Gesamtbild. Durch das passende Spiel aus Süße und Bitterkeit entsteht auch eine hervorragende Drinkability. Es macht wirklich Freude, dieses Bier zu trinken. Im Nachtrunk wirken die fruchtig-floralen und frisch-herbalen Noten für kurze Zeit nach und auch die Rezenz baut langsam ab. Danach bleibt eine angenehme, leicht trockene, kräuterig-heuige Hopfenaromatik über. Sunday, April 7, 2024

promontor	3 Szent András Black Rose 0.33l bottle. One of the early classics of the Great Hungarian Beer Revolution. Thick dark brown body. Beige head vanishing quickly. Fresh fruity aromas, cherry, mostly. Taste is caramel and fruits, once again cherry. Mild licorice. Palate is silky and despite the high alcohol content it is a bit watery, probably due to the low carbonation. Aftertaste is sweet, syrup-like. That spoils the show and kills the complexity, unfortunately, making this a rather one-sided affair. Monday, January 1, 2024
