Dry Dock Seven Seas Double IPA
A basic dipa. It really Missed out. Like many beers at this place I think they know how to compete but many average for style beer. Thin fading head. No build of sour. But disappointing. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Dry Dock Topsail Tripel
Bomber as "Dry Dock Tripel" (the word Topsail is not on the bottle’s label so I hope I’m rating the right beer). Translucent brass color with a small white head that quickly diminishes to a fine film. The aroma is fruity with apples and pears. The taste, like the aroma, features ripe white fruits--I get lots of apples, pears and some peach. Perhaps there is a just a trace of white pepper, but fruity esters really steal the show here. The malt base is way in the background, adds body, but its not discernible in the taste. The palate is full and a bit oily. Finishes long and sticky sweet, almost cloying. Overall: I have not had a Tripel in a long time, its one of my least favorite styles, but this was pretty good. I guess absence really does make the heart grow fonder. Edit note: The last pour of the bottle was very cloudy and much more spicy than expected. Also picked up a bit of apricot, and the palate thickened.

Dry Dock Signature Series Double Apricot Blonde
Bomber. Whiskey aroma with notes of caramel, apricot, vanilla, oak and burnt sugar. Pours orange-amber colored with a thin white head that has poor retention and some lacing. Starts with vanilla, apricot and caramel flavors with a wonderfully smooth mouthfeel. Finishes smooth with burnt sugar, whiskey and oak flavors. Absolutely wonderful!

Dry Dock Paragon Apricot Blonde
Pours the colour of apricot skins, there’s plenty v foam that shrinks slowly. As authentic an apricot smell as I’ve ever encountered. It’s a balanced smell of sweet and sour without suggesting that sour will dominate. Sweetish apricots with an additional sweet note or 2 from the malt of the base Blonde Ale. I have to admit; the smell is outstanding, leaving the the taste placing 2nd in a 2 horse race. Medium body with medium carbonation. If only the flavours lived up to what those delightful aromas suggested. Still, it’s a lovely drop.

Dry Dock Signature Series Double Apricot Blonde
Bottle. Dark amber in color with a small white head that lasts and has good retention. The aroma is quite pungent with apricots, mixed white fruits and rock candy. The taste comes across subtle and understated at first, but grows and intensifies with each subsequent sip. I get apricots, whiskey, caramel, sugars, sweetened pears and sticky vanilla. The malt base is full and the carbonation is soft. The finish is long an dry. There is a lingering cane sugar sweetness that is a bit cloying, but it seems to work quite well here. Overall: Top shelf. I’m gonna sock a bottle or two of this away and see how it ages.

12oz can. No deciperable code date. Appearance: Murky golden with a moderate white foam head. Aroma: Bright, tart apricot, followed by some cherry and berry notes. Mouthfeel: Light body with a high carbonation Finish: Leaves a touch of apricot and acidity, neither very strong Overall: Great easy drinking, refreshing, and balanced sour ale. A very pleasant, fruity aroma. Perfect for a warm day.

Dating on the bottom of the can hard to read. It pours a hazy orange with a 1 finger head of foam that quickly shrinks to a ring around the glass. I smell loads of apricots that impart a suggested tartness. Nothing bitter here to my nose. Apricot tartness up front, mid palate, and through the finish. The lacto is on full throttle goodness here.

Can. Bright apricot aroma with notes of lacto funk. Pours orange-amber colored with a very thin and non-retentive white head that also has no lacing. Starts with fruity apricot flavors with a light body and lively effervescent mouthfeel. Finishes tart with a good balance of lacto sourness to apricot sweet. Nice twist on their apricot blonde.

Dry Dock Hop Abomination IPA
12 oz. can. 6.5% ABV per the label. Pours a thick, well retained off white head, with light lacing, over a mildly hazy light amber (SRM 7) body.......nose is heavy hops, with grapefruit, light pine, mild toasted malts with light biscuit, balance to the hops.......taste is lightly sweet with floral honey notes, mild cereal from the malts, pine, grapefruit, tangerine tones from the hops, finishing with heavy, lingering bitterness, balance to the hops......mouth feel, light body, no alcohol, high carbonation with mild acid. This is a very hop dominated beer in aroma, flavor and big bitterness. The malt backbone is minimally present as is frequently found in newer style IPAs. The result is a rather too simple a beer. A rework of the malts, with more caramel/crystal notes, would improve both the malt contribution and the body which is much too light for the style. BJCP 7/3/12/4/6

Dry Dock Sour Apricot Blonde
12 oz can. Pours slightly hazy dark gold with a fizzy white head that quickly goes to a thin film that leaves a little lacing.

The aroma is sweet apricot and some soapy malts.

The flavor is sweet apricot with a tart sourness that help balance the sweetness. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and a bit watery.

Overall, a nice lighter sour. I like this better than the regular apricot because of the balance from the sourness.

Starts with juicy grapefruit citrus and acidity. Finishes quite smooth for a double IPA with a bit of pine resiny hops at the very end. Not a lot of hop flavor, but still a nice IPA.
