Araucana Rojiza Fuerte 3.1
bottled, old rating. amber with a light haze and modest off-white head; aroma of stonefruit and golf course; plenty of syruppy sweetness and a hit of alcohol but some grassy bitterness keeps things in check

Araucana Negra Bock 4.1
I had the opportunity to taste this beer because I bought it from a regional shop in San Telmo neighboorhoud, Buenos Aires city. This beer comes from Bariloche and it’s hard to find in Buenos Aires city. I was very lucky to taste it because it is delicious, and the regional shop does not sell it anymore.

Araucana Rojiza Fuerte 1.8
Ya no es lo que era, bajo mucho la calidad. Hace unos dias la tome en El Bolson, Araucana estaba en la fiesta del lupulo y tirada se asemeja mucho a una cerveza embotellada comun, al margen de que era tirada. Un fiasco.

Highly carbonated mahogany body. Spicy nose with some chocolate nose and a buzzy piquance to it. Nutty. The body is quite nutty and decisively smooth. Easy drinking, not much wheat, but a clove underpinning. Unusual for the style, but solid overall.

I’m suprised this one lived up to the hype after tasting a couple of the other Araucana lines. It’s a very good beer. Not necessarily the best beer I’ve tried here but most of the better ones haven’t had any people rate them yet. A great drink reminiscent of the complexity of a Belgian strong ale. Smell is sweet with alcohol. Almost a kind of scotch, oaky taste. Look all over the place in El Bolson and Bariloche to find this line and finally got a 500 ml bottle at an ice cream parlour beside the craft market.

Quite sour, with a sour fruit taste kind of like sour plum though not necessarily pleasant. Hoped for more from this brand - overrated in Argentina. Poured a soapy foam like head that all but disappeared immediately.

On tap at the ice cream patio by the craft market in El Bolson. Smells a bit sour mixed with hops. Taste has a not unpleasant note of sourness and some light hops taste.

Vaguely sweet malt aroma with a strange musty tone, smells a bit like an old sock. The taste is soft with elements of mainly sweet caramel malt, but also fruit. The aftertaste is slightly sweet and sticky. A totally okay beer but slightly too sweet!

Hazy yellow brown, mild head. Appreciable sweet, freshly milled grain nose with discernable melanoidins and perhaps caramunich. Body is grainy, a bit flat, and has a peculiar sawdust tannic note. This lager is well-crafted, unique, and definitely held my interest.

Pale amber body with flimsy head. Crisp hop and malt nose in subdued balance. Dark caramel malt and corn malt body with some moderated roast notes and a husky dryness. Cider wood notes. Reminds me more of an amber lager than of an amber pale ale.

First sample: Clear copper color, before sediment is poured, then turns more cloudy. Fluffy lasting tan head. Malty, sweet, smooth, strawberry cream, cake, scent. I want to eat it with a spoon for dessert! Big, sweet, malty, fruity, alcohol, grainy taste, nice!!! Smooth mouthfeel, low to medium bitterness. Even better with sediment poured in.
9/4/9/4/18=4.4

Went back and bought 4 whole bottles that I finished one by one, amazing beer! One of the best beers I’ve ever had! Pushing rating after a while to: 9/4/10/5/19=4.7

These bottled had been stored for about one year, seems to have been good for it!
