Soft red body with no foam, very cherry wine-ish aroma that's nice. Flavour is deep cherry cake flavour bit still cider like. Good carbonation. Very nice.

Anthem Cherry Cider
12 oz. can. Pours a minimal, poorly retained, off white head, with no lacing, over a clear reddish copper (SRM 18) body......nose is pie cherry with slightly sour tones, Granny Smith apple tones, no malts or hops......taste is apple, cherry, with slight sweet notes, slight sour apple and cherry tones, finish is dry with very mild acid/sour tone......mouth feel, medium light body, no alcohol, moderate carbonation. This is an easily drinkable, refreshing, cider with multiple pleasant fruits.

made an account just to review this. this is really something specal -- After having tried many different ciders in southern california -- the wandering aengus really is head & shoulders above everything else. * dry * bitterness from crab apple * heavy in lactic acid (flavorful) * nice after-taste -- leaves you wanting more

Draft. Pours pale yellowish with a white head. Some watermelon sweetness, mild apple juice, a little acidity, and some weird fruity notes in the finish. This is fine, but there's something just a touch odd about it.

On tap at Schilling Cider House - PDX, pours a cloudy blonde with a small white head. Nose brings out farmhouse yeast, oak and crisp apples. Flavour is complex, with dry oak, apple yeast, and crisp apples. Crisp and champagne-like. Good stuff.

On tap @ Bambino's. Clear yellow liquid with a short-lived white head on top. Has a nice candied ginger spiciness to it without being over the top. More on the tart and dry side than I would have imagined, actually. Slight grape skin, lots of green and golden apple, and perhaps a hint of pear. Maybe a light fruit juice sweetness in there. Not bad.

Can from The Venice Beach Bar in Venice Beach on 15 October 2017. I haven't had a lot of American cider but if this the standard then I would like to have a few more. Plenty of crisp apple flavour with a sweet dry finish.

On tap at Ellyn's Tap & Grill in Glen Ellyn, IL. as a 5 oz. serving, showing a clear, light straw color, with a good deal of rising, effervescent bubbles that didn't produce any head or lacing. The nose was a sweet, slightly ripened scent of apple, with a touch of spice as ginger. Light bodied, with good carbonation, the taste was similar, adding a bit of pear, and decent tartness & tanginess. Finished crisply.

500 ml. bottled 10-22-2014 and indicating 7.5% abv. Clear golden-amber with a bit of sparkling activity supporting a lasting spit of bubbles. Aroma is apples with a hint of vanilla. Tastes of tart crab apple and maybe a hint of oak if I try real hard. Light bodied, dry and astringent.

Flavour is bone dry, with tons of white wine, light wood, and medium acidity. Zero sweetness on the finish. Pleasant and dry on the finish with decent puckering character. Decent.

On tap at PIB 2017, pours a cloudy blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out light lacto, some watermelon and light apple acidity. Flavour is moderately sweet, with subdued watermelon character and some light crisp apple acidity. Not getting anything resembling a gose. Refreshing but cheap and too artificially sweet. Meh.

Wandering Aengus Oaked Dry Cider
This bottled Cider from a beer bar poured a very small sized head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that were quickly diminishing and left behind a softly carbonated transparent golden yellow orange colored body and a poor lacing. The mild aroma was red apple. The crisp mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The nice flavor contained notes of golden apple red apple and green apple. A decent one that I would consider drinking again.

Crystal clear light straw, no head. Clean and gently fleshy Apple aroma, lightly tart. Big bright flavor that’s gently tart and has a nice clean Apple flavor through it, gently tart but not puckering or green-Apple-y, but not just plain red apple either. Intricately complex for being just a regular cider. Cideries, take note! This is exceptional. Neither dry nor sweet. Perfect balance.

Clear bright golden with a very thin white cap. Bright pear and earthy booze funk on the nose. Smooth and delightfully sweet on the palate that’s got some pear, sugar, and a light appley backbone. Crisp yet sweet and playful, but a little one dimensional. Not bad by any means, actually quite damn good.

Light pear aroma, but not overwhelming like many other perries. Not much else picked up, however. Pours almost clear, with no head. Complex taste, but remains balanced. Not too sweet, which is a fatal flaw for many offerings with pear. Very refreshing, crisp, light.

Anthem Pear
Appearance: Pours a very clear, scantly yellow body with some stray white suds. Smell: Sweetish, lightly tart-scented pear. Taste: A one-two pear apple flavor, lightly sweet, lightly tart and not really that different from just about any other of these products out there. Lightly crisp close. Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Medium carbonation. Overall: It’s fine. Really, it’s fine. Nice summertime refreshment albeit nothing altogether special or memorable.
