Alengrin	3 Piraiki (Πειραικη) Bio Pils Organic greek lager, thanks to Stefan for sharing this. Label is almost exclusively in greek - fortunately I can read the greek alphabet, otherwise it would have been quite a challenge finding this in the database... Lacing, snow white, moussy head over a honey yellow blonde beer with lightly greenish hue, cristal clear. Aroma of sugar corn, honey, breakfast cereals, old apple cake, powder sugar, hint of dried grass. Grain sweetish taste, very strongly overcarbonated (even above average for a pale lager), smooth pale malt sweetishness, bit minerally but nowhere metallic, feeling quite ’natural’ and ending in a lightly bittering grassy hop kiss. Feels genuine and credible, a bit ’fuller’ and more rounded than its industrial counterparts. More than decent for the style. Sunday, November 29, 2015

eduardovl	2.3 Piraiki (Πειραικη) Lager Premium 330ml bottle served in an ordinary glass. Enjoyed at the beach during a trip to Mykonos. Pours a pale yellow body forming a small head with small retention and only few lacings formed. Smells sweet pale malts and adjunct malts. Notes of cardboard. A bit metallic. Herby and grassy hops in the end. Not impressive taste. Again, quite malty and crispy but with hints of adjunct malts. Light bitter end. Light and watery body and faint carbonation. Christos	2.3 Piraiki (Πειραικη) Bio Lager (Piraiki Bio Beer Lager) Bottle 330 ml from a trade with humlelala, many thanks! Served into an en english pint glass, ABV 5% Golden yellow colour on the body, almost non existent head, of course no lacing on or anything. Faint aroma of yeast and dough, a bit lactic. Sweet taste, some light malts, iron, yeast, very faint lactic sourness, not bad, at least it’s refreshing. Thin body, very low carbonation, the end result being a watery beer. The aroma holds biscuits, corn, general cereal. Medium sweet flavor with low bitterness, some straw, doughy bread, more corn. Light tangerine. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Argonian	2.3 Piraiki (Πειραικη) Black Bottle. This is probably different than the xmas brew. Pours a cola-like body, with a small light brown head that diminishes quickly, leaving no lace at all. Faint caramel and coffee aroma. Medium sweet taste, caramel and coffee at the start, then the caramel really dominates everything else as the beer warms up. chriso	2.6 Piraiki (Πειραικη) Fresh Pils 330ml bottle, New Year tasting, 30 December 2008. Best before 12 February 2009. Pale gold colour. Clearly something not quite right here. Sharp and rather funky on nose and palate. Guess it may not have survived the journey too well but more likely infected from the outset. Difficult to score as, not unusually for me in these infection cases, I found the result actually reasonably appealing even if entirely unintended. And almost certainly more interesting.
