Le Cellier de Boäl Cidre Fermier Brut
750ml corked bottle. Reddish orange in this light (and black/white teacup) with a slim fizzing head. Aroma slightly dank and phenolic with yeasty old peels, the mouth of caves and a green tartness. Bright and effervescent with peppery and cherry stone alcohol apparent, barrels, autumnal red fruit and a mellow dryness to finish. Hint of 3 pints of Woodpecker in the Silver Sword, Coventry, as a 15 year old. Bonus. Not bad but not singing with complexity.

Bottle from a supermarket, shared at camping in Plougoumelen. Clear golden with no head. Dry apple peel, funk, mineral notes, quite tannic, dry white wine, crisp apples, green apple, more wood. Underneath medium sweet, bitter and light tart. Medium bodied, over medium dry finish. Nice one!

Le Cellier de Boäl Cidre Fermier Doux
75cl bottle from Auchan's bargain bin aisle. Pours a deep misty gold, aroma of bitter apple core, fleshy fruit, orchard mist. Taste presents deep, lightly stewed apple fruit, a light crisp bitterness, but on the whole quite light and drying. Decent doux.

Le Cellier de Boäl Cidre Fermier Brut
75cl bottle. Pours a misty pale yellow, persistent but thin bubbly white head. Aroma is slightly musty farmhouse apple fruit. Taste is a little more complex than your standard cidre brut, presenting some interesting fresh-plucked apple fruit, a lightly coarse woody bitterness with a nice sparkle that’s not overly spritzy. Full, fruity profile with a great apple blend that really shines. Very good indeed.

Freshly pressed apple nose. Golden, very active. Bittersweet up front, cut by a bitter dry, yet clean finish. Light bubbles, dry finish.

Served in a champagne flute it is a semi-opaque gold with a spicy cork like fruity aroma. Effervescent body and prickly carbonation. The taste on this is woodsy freshly cut apples with some smokiness in the finish. A somewhat abrasive mouthfeel but nice flavor. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Wonderful stuff with an evenly wonderful mixture of sweet and sour combined with a special something grassy and dry finish. Upfront apples, lemons and sweets. Behind that more of leaves and earth making that one different and just down to earth. Lots of thumbs up here.

Bottle from Calisky - many thanks, Fred! The cider has got a clear light amber colour with medium body. Aroma of mild, ripe apples, basement and leaves. Taste of sweet, red apples, leaves, basement, caramel. Medium dry finish with a high overall sweetness. Easy and smooth to drink with a certain character. Enjoyed it.

Clear yellow golden body with fizzy instable head. Rustic aroma, bit of yeast, fruit cookies, dusty. Dry mouth feel, light yeasty, light grainy, dry apple, rustic. Leaves your tongue dry and refreshed, while its actually a bit sweet. Easy to drink but certainly not without character. Good fresh cider, very nice to pair with light lunch. Good start of a long day of tasting. :-) (75cl bottle)

4,0%. Bottle, bought @ a supermarket. Pours clear dark golden with a medium, fizzy white head that soon disappears. Aroma has sweet green apple, light oak. Medium carbonation, okay dry mouthfeel. Flavour has mild zestiness, dry oak, light astringency. Quite fresh and drinkable.

Bottle. Golden copper color, no head, a few bubbles. Dry apple nose, a touch musty. Ripe apple flavor, with a dry dusty background. Slightly sweet but finishes quiite try. Tingly carbonation. Rather bitter, almost astringent finish, like apple peels. Pleasant and drinkable.
