3.4 Palmershayes Medium Still Cider Bottled; Pretty flat and pretty Golden ... Pretty rich and only a slight funky vibe ..cobwebs , must , sticky apple . my palate leans to dry cider and i drink this lamenting that its not dryer . But a pretty decent Scrumpy though ! Friday, January 30, 2015

3.5 Palmershayes Knee Bender Cider 1 LIter carton ; Grate name for this as a side note . As with most rural scrumpy , the nose is pretty intense and rustic ..wood , shit, vinegar , tart cooking apple ..little funk. Golden and headless , like a legit cider needs to be . The palate/flavours are medium sweet/dry - with a bit of cowshit texture or diapers ..but in the funky good way like in Lambic ; Both sweet tart textures but i could use a bit more funk here . if. 3.9 Palmershayes Devon Scrumpy Cider Oak, citrusy apples and a sharp acidic splash surface after suave honeyed sugars… The vinegar-like edges on the nose need some smoothening out, but the rest is mighty alluring… Rough, but complex and ever-so-real… 1-liter plastic bottle straight from gravity cask at Middle Farm (East Sussex). 1.3 Palmershayes Knee Bender Cider Don’t know what the other reviewers were drinking, but it was not Knee Bender, which became the running joke of a recent Stag Do. I believe the following to be what the others meant to say: Dark urine-like colour. Entirely rotten. Firm, cow piss aroma. Pretty putrid. Moderate tannins, but has some slightly juicy residual flem too. cotton-mouth-inducing but approachable from a safe fecking distance. A bit heavy on the farmyard funk though. Plastic petrol can. vinegar orange with no carbonation. Aromas are inhumane - woody ripe Gangnam minge with astringent vinegar, overpoweringly musty with hints of syphilis and some athletes’ foot for good measure. Flavours are regrettable and long lasting and not ideal for long bus journeys! Dry with agricultural waste and boozy alcohol to finish. Beautiful when you’re not the one drinking it!!! 2.8 Palmershayes Medium Still Cider Jug. Shared with chris_o, mes_and_sim, harrisoni, reakt and duff - via chris_o. Yay, I’m first to rate it!!! Poured clear gold, essentially no head. Sharp turpentine aroma, as that odd sharpness fades, it settles to a mild apple sweetness. The taste is pleasant, tangy golden apple, simple and slightly oxidized. Lightly syrupy body, mildly acidic, very quick finish and clean, no aftertaste .... tasty, nothing special. Friday, September 21, 2007
