Miller Brewing Company (MillerCoors) Reviews

Miller Lite 1.6
This is terrible. Why do people drink this? Nothing is good about this. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Mickeys Fine Malt Liquor 4
Poured from the infamous 12 OZ big mouth bottle right into my pie hole. The appearance is a clear golden yellow with a small white head. The aroma is basic American Malt Liquor. The taste is a notch up on most malt liquors, I rate this in the same class as Colt 45 and Private Stock, I consider them uhhmm, err top shelf in the malt liquor world.

Redd’s Cranberry Ale 2.7
Aroma is cranberries and slightly perfumed sweetness. The flavor is cranberries, malts and a mildly bland sweet/tart finish.

Miller Sharps 1.2
Pours clear golden, not much head. Aroma delivers wan malty and hoppy notes. Flavor is barely like a beer at all - malty, a teeny bit fruity and hoppy, but not beer-ish. Mouthfeel features barely acceptable body and fizz. When will anyone brew an acceptable "near beer"? Probably after the Detroit Lions win the Super Bowl.

Miller Genuine Draft (MGD) 2.3
Pours clear yelow with a white fizzy head that fades quickly. Faint aroma of malts and grains. Taste the same as aroma, faint and a bit watery. Descent backyard summer beer but nothing special.

Steel Reserve 211 High Gravity 2.5
First ’Tramp Juice’ of my 2016 Californian adventure, 24 once can into a La Chouffe badged stemmed tulip three times on 27th April. Actually I liked the sweetness and malty base, not too keen on the corn flavour and alcohol content that could not be hidden by the week flavours or depth of body, the head could have hung around longer too. I have sat on park benches drinking worse, but I will not be revisiting this ’brown paper bag’ beer again unless I need a hangover and headache.

Miller Genuine Draft (MGD) 1.9
Pours golden with light foam. Aroma is burned wet hay, wheat bread, some cookies, malts, dust. Taste is watery, some sweet and wheat bread notes, hay. Crispy and little bit caramel beer. Feels like morning breakfast cereal porridge.

Olde English HG800 / Olde English 800 7.9% 2.3
smell of apple peel, sweetness and corn. my thought was the combo of sweet and corn almost smells like a frosted flake? I love those things. Taste is unlike a frosted flake though, super sweet but has an almost bitter palate which gives it maddddddd points

Steel Reserve 211 Triple Export 2.1
Can is cool, that’s the appearance. The smell is stale old malt, bland grain, and sweet moldy corn. Taste is pretty much the same. Maybe a bit rougher than regular SR. Damn

Redd’s Cranberry Ale 2.1
About as expected - a generic non-offensive hot weather drink with tart sweet cranberry and slightly fake tasting and smelling apple, with a splash of alcohol.

Mickeys Fine Malt Liquor 1.4
Green stumpy bottle share at Cotteridge II as Mickeys Fine Malt Liquor. Many thanks to Macboost, Martin and Rich for this fine malt liquor. Clear yellow, still, small foamy off-white head. Aroma is corny, biscuity malt. Body is smooth, soft carbonation. Taste is pasta, rice, pale malt, water. Insipid and starchy. (1.4)

Redd’s Wicked Mango Ale 3.2
It has a really delicious flavor to it. It legitimately tastes like mango. Good job!

Miller High Life 1
Pours a clear piss gold with white head. Has a strong malt and grain aroma. Taste is strong of crappy malts, bitter grains, and very watered down. A lingering bad malt aftertaste.

Smith & Forge Hard Cider 2.9
Pounder: Apple juice nose. Clear amber, no visible carbonation. Sweet, apple juice. Finishes drier. Full body, moderate carbonation. No nuance, just fizzy apple juice that gets you drunk. Completely not fancy, but still enjoyable in a way.

Miller High Life 4
If you want an inexpensive beer, this is it. Mix it with a craft beer, high quality stout or IPA, and you save yourself about 35% of the cost and no one will know the difference. I am a Democratic who is not out to impress anyone, who just want quality taste, and no prestige.

Smith & Forge Hard Cider 2.5
12 ounce can purchased at local FL Winn Dixie supermarket for $8.99/12-pack. Not bad.

Steel Reserve Alloy Series Spiked Limeade 211 1.2
Well, it’s not terrible. It’s a lot like a Mike’s Hard, if that’s your thing. It’s not really mine, but this does have it’s place, sadly

Hamms 1.7
I hate this beer. It smells like off-grain crap and tastes like watery beer that sits like a sandwich. No thank you.

Olde English 800 1.8
Clear 22oz bottle shared at Cotteridge II as Olde English 800. Many thanks to MacBoost and the West Mild-lands crew for this one. Clear yellow, still, small foamy white head. Aroma is corn, rug, malt sugars. Body is light, tingly carbonation. Taste is cardboard, corn, pale biscuit. Pretty insipid. Yep, not great. (1.8)

Redd’s Apple Ale 2.2
Looks, smells, and tastes like apple juice but with carbonation. Not horrible but not something I would buy again. Glad I got just one bottle from the sampler shelves.

Hamms 0.8
Canned at tin can. God awful. Very clear yellow. White head vanished quickly. Only drinking to finish the beer tour

Steel Reserve 211 High Gravity 2.6
Can pour into nonic pint glass. Aroma is cracker, slightly metallic. Appearance is clear golden yellow with nice sparkle, fizzy white head with fair retention and trace lacing. Taste is lightly sweet bready malt. Palate is medium bodied with average to lively carbonation, abrupt finish. Overall, certainly no complexity here but it’s not like it tastes bad. I’d take it over a great sour any day.

Redd’s Cranberry Ale 2
Bottle. Light pink in color. No head, bubbly like a soda pop. Aroma is sweet berries. Taste is also like a sweet berry and not like a tart cranberry.
Sunday, April 10, 2016

Redd’s Strawberry Ale 2.3
Drank from bottle. Smells of apple juice and strawberry. Taste is mostly apple juice with a hint of strawberry. Not horrible but not really wanting more of it.
Sunday, April 10, 2016

Redd’s Green Apple Ale 1.1
Drank straight out of bottle. Smells like apple juice and looks like it too. Taste was awful! Tart apple, dry, not enjoyable at all. Glad I got just the one bottle from the sample section.

Miller Sharps 1.9
Ok for a non alcohol brew...but i must ask the question...what is the point...have a beer or drink water!

Miller Lite 2.9
New york Clear yellow, small white head. Aroma of oat and honey Taste of lager, slight honey taste. Fizzy. Mostly taste nothing

Hamms 3.5
Pours a very clear, very light straw color. About two fingers white fluffy head. Good lacing, good retention. It’s very well carbonated.

Aroma is more corn than barley. Slightly hopped aroma, lightly metallic.

Taste is corn forward. Sweet corn. Maybe a little more hoppy than many lagers. There might be a little cooked vegetable Taste, but again, that’s corn.

Mouthfeel is medium. Very carbonated, and that probably helps a lot. It’s smooth, easy drinking.

Overall, it’s cheap, and tastes cheap. BUT, it’s really good. For cheap beer, this is probably the best. In would buy this again, and I would certainly recommend it.

Miller Lite 2.3

Miller Genuine Draft (MGD) 1.4
Közepes, tartós hab, borostyán szín. Malátás illatvilág, enyhe gyümölcsösséggel. Erősen szénsavas, Jellegzetesen semleges ízvilág, malátás alap, némi komlós kesernyével és pici olajossággal. Túl jellegtelen, rővid utóízű ital.

Smith & Forge Hard Cider 1.6
Not my style but it was what I expected from one of the largest beer companies in the world. Distinct mineral character typically associated with hard cider made from concentrate. The sweetness made it appear to be trying too hard to taste like apple. That being said, this cider will appeal to a younger consumer who’s just getting into this beverage category. The reality is that Smith & Forge will be a big reason for the cider industry’s future growth. They have an approachable gateway product but consumers will quickly learn that there are many others out there.

Milwaukee’s Best Light 0.5
There are two kinds of people in this world: those who preferred natty in college... and those who drank beast. Never understood the latter. Only thing worse than this would be beast light ice or king cobra.

Redd’s Cranberry Ale 2.8
(bottle - 12 oz) Reddish pour with a fizzy head. Sweet candy-like aroma with a light hint of tartness. Flavor isn’t actually overpoweringly sweet. Tastes like an actual fruit beer rather than a beer with fruit flavor in it. [3/26/16]

Smith & Forge Hard Cider 4.4
Not bland like woodchuck brand hard cider. Very good hard cider in my opinion. Will definitely buy again

Olde English 800 2
Bottle split at CCii, thanks to Bootsy, Sraky and RTV in some form of triste, 05/03/16. Pale golden blonde with a moderate off white covering. Nose is straw, grain, paper, cereals. Taste comprises light caramel wafer, grain, straw, pale malt. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. So so affair ... wat is the point of a Malt Licker without the boost?

Olde English 800 0.8
40’s and blunts, kid! College made us do strange things... like drink this. Oddly enough, I could probably down one just for nostalgia. No longer the go-to!

Steel Reserve 211 High Gravity 1.5
Can from Food Stop Rockville, MD. Yellow body with thin head. Skunky nose. Pure malt liquor. Tastes very bad. Sweet with syrupy texture. Acly. Not at all enjoyable.

Miller Genuine Draft (MGD) 1.7
From Carrefour. In Teku glass. After dinner. At the level of the cheapest supermarket brand label adjunt lager. Doesnt deserve more than 0.3?, and suprisingly its much more expensive

Steel Reserve Alloy Series Spiked Punch 211 3.1
Twenty four ounce can bought during a trip to Nob Hill. Purchased under the category of, "I’m already drunk, so why not." Pink pour. No head. Aroma is fruit punch. Flavor is also fruit punch with a slightly bitter I don’t know what and alcohol finish. Very easy to drink. Part of a balanced diet that perfectly complements the Fruit Punch Rockstar I drink in the morning, I wish they had this years ago when my only high alcohol cheap crap beer or whatever this is option was the original Steel Reserve. Yeah, the alcohol is staring to kick in. I guess overall this was $1.99 well spent if your only purpose is to get drunk. Drink Mezcal.

Miller Genuine Draft (MGD) 1.7
33 cl clear bottle, best before June 12th 2016. Pale yellow straw colour, white head, large short-lasting bubbles, low level of carbonation. Aroma is a very faint sweet grain. Flavours reflects the aroma, nothing special, just generic lager style. Essential to drink this very cold for it to be appreciated, and you are very, very warm and thirsty on a hot day.
Saturday, March 26, 2016

Steel Reserve Alloy Series Blk Berry 211 0.8
Aroma of berry flavored cough drops, booze, and gut rot. Taste of bad bitter syrup, some moldy berries that have been previously frozen, and possibly of rat poison. The palate is residual metalic

Red Dog 2
Memory rating...not a terrible beer...flavor was ok...they really make this still?...drinkable in a pinch.
Thursday, March 24, 2016

Miller Genuine Draft (MGD) 1
Aroma is quite sweet, also metallic, good white head not persistant, light body, medium carbonation, taste is quite absent, some sweetness some bitterness...the eagle’s flight is very low this time.

Redd’s Cranberry Ale 2.3
3/21/16. 12oz bottle from Publix. Bottom of the barrel ticking! Enjoyed from the bottle, which is clear, so I can see it’s sort of a light red. Smells and tastes like red Kool-Aid... like almost dead on. Watery, sweet, generically fruity. Drinks like water, though. Meh.

Miller Lite 1.7
Originally rated on 6/25/08. Not the worst of the light beers out there, its just what you expect from that type of beer, not much flavor, watery, and cheap. Good for a large gathering especially in hot weather.

Miller Genuine Draft (MGD) 0.9
Golden colour with a lasting head. Aroma and taste of sweet grains, but the mettalic tones is to noiticeable. Not much to say about this one. Its very bad, even for a mass produced pale lager.
