Pale colored and fairly clear. Thick white head. Straw, chalk, floral, citrus, and mineral aromas. Mild sour and bitter type flavors. Kind of flat tasting. No stand out flavors. Easy to drink, but not very exciting. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

New Belgium / Firestone Walker Fat Hoppy Ale
Draft. Poured clear amber color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy complex citrus hop aroma. Medium to full body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. My expectations were met.

New Belgium / Firestone Walker Fat Hoppy Ale
Bottle, thanks Russ! Citrus hop aroma with notes of grapefruit and some tropical fruit as well as biscuit and caramel malt. Pours pale amber colored with a thin but retentive white head that also has decent lacing. Starts with bright tropical fruit hop flavors as well as some sweet caramel malt notes. Finishes dry with grapefruit citrus and acidity with a little bit of biscuity malt but the citrus dominates. Nice riff on Fat Tire as the additional hops further balance the sweet malt.

Hazy and bubbly amber with little head. Aroma is malty, with a little hops. Smooth, and simple, not a complex flavor. Mildly bitter finish.

New Belgium / Rhinegeist Fat Pale Ale
Bottle @ BBQ. Clear copper beer with an off-white head. This is just a weird beer. Itís got some nice fruity hops and esters, but is also quite sweet and has a clashing bitterness. Yeast, pepper, bubblegum, pear, and banana are all there. Some citrus, maybe a touch of tropical fruits, dusty biscuits. Smells a bit like dried cat/dog food actually. Has that underlying sweetness of Fat Tire...this is just odd.

New Belgium / Firestone Walker Fat Hoppy Ale
Bottle @ BBQ. Clear copper/amber colored beer with an off-white head. This is one of my favorite of the mixed pack. A good fruity hop aroma of orange, grapefruit, and maybe even some melon. Thereís a good bit of toast, bread, and caramel malt here, but the extra hop character really balances out the sweetness more to my liking. Moderate bitterness and an underlying herb note to go with the fruit forward hop character. A nice enough beer.

New Belgium / Hopworks Fat Sour Apple Ale
Bottle @ BBQ. Amber beer with a cream colored head. Apple cider vinegar, yogurt, lemon juice, and raw bread dough. Some caramel malt flavor and sweetness, I guess. Kind of toasty, I guess. Itís a mess, I feel. A lot of sourness, tannins, yeast, and malt/grain. This is just odd.

The Sampler, Brooklyn tap: pours amber with a white head. Aroma is light fruitiness and light funk. Taste is soapy. Not really sour. Quite wild. Sort of fruity in the way the candy you throw out after halloween is... Not my favourite.

Banana nutty spice aroma with a bit of hibiscus in the aroma. Taste is like a lighter triple with floral hoppy and hibiscus. Carbonation is light. It is like a lighter triple that is not as sweet, with a floral hibiscus finish. Nice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

New Belgium / Hof Ten Dormaal Lips of Faith - Golden Ale
Bottle from Party Source at home. Pours a hazy golden color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor have pale, grainy malts, bready, yeast, lemongrass, herbal notes, citrus, decent enough.

New Belgium / Hopworks Fat Sour Apple Ale
Bottle. Amber pour with a short foamy white head. Aroma is malty and sweet with soft fruit notes. Taste is slightly tart fruit, caramel, sweet malt and candied fruit. Body is medium with a light creamy carbonation. Ends with more caramel, fruit notes, sweet malt and bread. Thereís fruit here but at no time would I have guessed sour apple.

New Belgium / Avery Fat Wild Ale
Bottle @ BBQ. Another funky Fat Tire variant... Pours the same sort of copper/bronze color with some off-white foam. Donít get as pleasant of a yeast/fermentation character here. Sort of aggressively bitter and astringent with notes of plastic, grain husk, and fruit skins. There is some of the base malt flavor and sweetness here, at least. Toast and caramel are pretty prominent. Messy.

New Belgium / Allagash Fat Funk Ale
Bottle @ BBQ. Copper in color with a rocky off-white head. Donít get that much of a difference from the original on the first sniff and sip or two. After a bit, it becomes obvious there is sort of an earthy, leathery, and fruity/estery quality here. Slight spice, too. Less sweetness than Fat Tire typically has and perhaps a bit more bitterness. Itís a fine enough beer.

New Belgium / Oud Beersel Lips of Faith - Transatlantique Kriek 2015
22 ounce bottle into signature globe glass, bottled on 11/12/2015. Pours clear ruby red color with a 1 finger fairly dense light pink head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings around the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big sweet/tart cherry, cranberry, raspberry, lemon, green apple, almond, cherry pit, red wine, pepper, oak, vanilla, hay, straw, light leather/funk, candi sugar, cracker, and yeast/oak earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, cherries, oak barrel, and light-moderate malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big sweet/tart cherry, cranberry, raspberry, lemon, green apple, almond, cherry pit, red wine, pepper, oak, vanilla, hay, straw, light leather/funk, candi sugar, cracker, and yeast/oak earthiness. Fair amount of fruity/acidic tartness and light yeast/tannic oak spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of sweet/tart cherry, cranberry, raspberry, lemon, green apple, almond, cherry pit, red wine, pepper, oak, vanilla, hay, straw, candi sugar, cracker, and yeast/oak earthiness. on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, cherries, oak barrel, and light-moderate malt flavors; with a great malt/tartness balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from acidity as well. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, fairly creamy/acidic, and lightly tannic balanced mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent blended fruit lambic. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, cherries, oak barrel, and light-moderate malt flavors; very smooth and refreshing to drink with the modest acidity. A very enjoyable offering.

New Belgium Lips of Faith - Tart Lychee
Draft at Bru Craft. Cloudy yellow gold pour. Soft white foam. The lychee nut is clearly present but feels over supported by blood oranges and mandarins. The cinnamon is also there but feels more like a hop element than an exotic spice accompaniment. Somewhat full-bodied. Does not feel like a Saison. Complex competing notes that almost work together but not quite.

New Belgium / Avery Fat Wild Ale
On tap at Lunar Brewing Co., and dispensed to a Czech-pils glass showing a clear, amber color, with a presentable and fairly lasting layer of off white head froth, and sheet-like lacing. The nose was some fruitiness, with hints of banana & bubblegum, but no noticeable brett. Light to medium bodied, with fair carbonation, but a little bit thin on the texture, the taste was light fruitiness with maybe some tropical character, low, toasty bitterness, and some dryness to the finish. Drinkable, but too tame to be considered Wild.

New Belgium / Rhinegeist Fat Pale Ale
Pours light amber with a finger of off-white head. Aroma is sour with notes of lemons and pears. Flavor does not adhere to a pale ale or amber category and doesn't really inspire either style. The yeast feels overly strong and the heavy carbonation cuts away any lingering flavors whether desirable or not. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

New Belgium Citradelic
Hold on to your beers, gentlemen, my champagne drinking wife loved this one and refused to let go of my glass! It pours a clear, golden body with a creamy, off-white head that sticks to the glass. Strong aroma of citrus, pineapple, grass and a bit too much caramel. Strong flavour of sweet oranges, tropical fruits, caramel and toasted malt. Light to moderate sweet taste with a long-lasting moderate bitter finish. Medium body, dry texture, moderate carbonation. An easy-to-drink beer that is less bitter, more fruity and somewhat sweeter than your average IPA.

New Belgium / Allagash Fat Funk Ale
Nice hazy copper and bronze coloured body with a two centimetre tall tan head and a nice rich glow at the bottom. Aroma of funk (just like the name implies), grass, yeast, coriander seed, brett and way more yeast - nice and fragrant throughout. Light to Medium-bodied; Assertive grassy, herbal and especially funky yeast flavours throughout with brett, lactic sugars and some hay very noticeable. Aftertaste shows some rich notes coupled with a lot of the funk from the brett and a lot of unfinished yeast elements, but leaves funky, complex and rich. Overall, an interesting beer that shows a lot more flavour, complexity and especially substance compared to a typical fat tire - Allagash did some magic here and itís a nice beer to sample and well worth finding if you can get it! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Whole Foods in Fair Lakes (Fairfax), Virginia for US$15,99/twelve pack on 16-July-2016 sampled at home in Washington on 26-July-2016.

Bottle. A- Floral, citrus, caramel. A- Copper color, clear liquid, off white head. T- Caramel, fruity, overripe pineapple, malty. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- Definitely not a sour ale but not bad. More like a fruity amber. A fair amount of orchard fruits and caramel. Not great but way better decent for these Fat Tire variants.

some tangerine and an equal amount of orange. tangerine can do a lot for an ipa but it really hasnít happened here since the beer is a bit light and watery. and the focus is diffuse with the orange and orange pith that really doesnít make the best impression it could. this one tinkered a little bit could be better. like this brewer did with theyíre great Red Hoptober which is in my top five stuck on an island beers.
