Cloudy golden pour with nice white head and some lacing. There is just hint of blue to the mix, but not really noticeable unless you are looking for it. Aroma of malt and hint of the blueberry. smroush	2.5 Tahquamenon Falls Jack Pine Porter Aromas of bread and a slight touch of coffee. Hops are very light. Color is a dark brown with a small off-white head. Sweetness is medium; bitterness is light to moderate, with a hint of vinegar to it. Body is quite light for a porter. Texture is thin. Carbonation is a bit flat. Finish is short to average. Bulk_Carrier	2.6 Tahquamenon Falls Lumberjack Lager Reviewed from notes. This was poured into a pint glass (doh, where’s the pilsener for this one). Sigh, don’t get me started. Anyways, well, here’s the rest of it. The appearance was a fairly decent golden yellow color with a one and a half finger white foamy head that dissipated within less than thirty seconds to leave some fairly decent adequate lightly foamy lacing. The smell seemed to be more of a sweet corn adjunct of sorts with a light cornbreadiness to come out slightly. The taste was mainly sweet and didn’t have much balance. It had a dry finish. On the palate, this one sat fairly light and definitely had a pretty good sessionability about it. The carbonation was dry and not exactly sharp, but it did show its presence. Overall, as my last Tahq Falls beer to put in here, I’d say this was okay, it was nothing over the top nor was it anything bad. Too bad, I couldn’t have had it in a pilsener. Tuesday, July 1, 2014

The appearance was a light golden yellow color with a quarter finger of white foamy head that dissipated within less than thirty seconds. There was barely any lacing. The smell had some light sweet bread. The taste sweet and lightly bready with a light aftertaste and watery finish. On the palate, this one sat pretty light. The appearance had a decent bronzed amber color with a fairly decent transparency about it to leave some carbonation rising in the body. The head was there and it had about a finger’s worth and ended up barely any lacing about it. The smell had some light wheat to grainy breadiness overcoating a decent apple - like substance. The taste was mainly sweet and allowed a decent apple quality in the aftertaste. On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body. The sessionability is somewhat there but also has a carbonation that seemed okay for the style and to me. Overall, I say this was a fairly good beer worthy of having again. Monday, June 30, 2014

The appearance was a decent hazy brown to somewhat light purple coloring around the edges of the beer. The head was about a quarter of a finger’s worth of white foaminess that quickly dies and barely left any lacing. The smell had a light cherry with a slight wheatiness to it. The taste was mainly the same as it had a decent wheat kick at the end. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation seemed okay for the style as it had a decent wheat kick but it wasn’t anything overly done. Overall I say this was a fairly decent beer to have again. Monday, June 30, 2014
Bulk_Carrier	3.9 Tahquamenon Falls Black Bear Stout Comparatively speaking, this could be their best one. Here’s why. At the brewpub, this was poured into a pint glass. The appearance was a dark brown to black color with a quarter finger white to off white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute. The lacing was there but didn’t show much of anything to stick as it slid for the most part. The smell had a fairly decent dried and roasted coffee bean to light chocolate. The taste was mainly the same thing with a really dry aftertaste and finish. On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body. The carbonation was really subdued as it let the beer have a decent drying effect to cover my mouth and tongue. Overall, this was a nice interpretation of an Irish dry stout. Monday, June 30, 2014

The appearance was a decent looking hazy orange to amber color with a quarter finger white foamy head that dissipated within less than a half a minute. There was some light lacing trying to stick but mainly slid right on into the beer. The smell had the raspberry that came through slightly tart but let in a decent sweetness to balance. The taste was mainly sweet but had a decent light tartness to balance. On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation seemed appropriately styled and was fairly easy to me. Overall, okay I didn’t get as much wheat I did in the peach and the blueberry one but honestly I’m okay with that. The appearance was a decent golden pale yellow color with a quarter finger of white foaminess that didn’t show much lacing once it dissipated. The smell had some light citrus to piney hops that seemed kinda burnt. Hmmm...uh..ok, I guess. The taste was mainly sweet but had a weird burnt/perhaps overly cooked hop bitterness to it. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a sessionability that seemed to be slightly desired. The carbonation seemed okay for the style and okay to me. Overall, hmmm...I’m not sure what happened with the smell but it seemed to have affected the taste. This brewpub has better beers and this isn’t one of them. Monday, June 30, 2014
Bulk_Carrier	3.6 Tahquamenon Falls White Pine Pilsener Reviewed from notes. This was poured into a pint glass (yeah I know no pilsener glass, sigh, they didn’t have them there that day). I hope things have changed since I lived in the U.P. Here’s the rest. The appearance had a super light yellow color with fast streams of carbonation seen rising to feed a rapidly dieing head. The head was about a quarter of a finger’s worth. There was barely any lacing. The smell had some light pine with what seemed like a German malt - like crispness to it. The taste was mainly sweet to bitter and had a nice commanding crispness to round it all out. On the palate, this one sat light all around with a superb sessionability about it. I could pound this all day and not think twice about any BMW product. Overall, I say this was a pretty good Pilsener well worth your time. Monday, June 30, 2014

The appearance was a nice looking hazy amber to glossy orange with a quarter finger’s worth of white foamy head that dissipated within less than a half a minute. The lacing was there and slid right into the beer. The smell had some nice light wheat tones with a light balanced peach/apricot in it. The taste took those flavors and added a slight lemon fruitiness to it. On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a pretty good sessionability about it. The carbonation seemed good for the style as it had a light kick from the wheat which helped to not have a lot of carbonation to it. Overall, I say this was a fairly nice beer to have again. The appearance was a nice looking hazy amber to slight purple tinges around the edges of the beer. Since it was a bar pour, the head was fairly thin and there wasn’t much lacing. The smell definitely had the blueberry with a decent breadiness running underneath my nose. The taste was mainly sweet through the blueberry and somewhat biscuit - like to bread goodness all around. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a pretty good sessionability about it. The carbonation seemed pretty good as the wheat part seemed to take over as far as the back bite on the palate goes. Overall, I say this was a pretty good blueberry wheat ale worthy of having again. The appearance was a hazy burnt orange color with a decent half finger-ed white foamy head that dissipated within less than a minute leaving a decent clingy lacing sticking nicely around the glass. The smell had the peach up front. The taste took the peach and added a nice wheat kick to balance. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation seemed good as it wasn’t that harsh it just was that way due to the wheat content. Overall, I say this was not a bad beer, there’s just a lot of wheat in this beer. Can really smell the tart cherry and then it comes through even more in the taste. Much stronger than many similar styles, but not artificial tasting at all. patrick767	3.2 Tahquamenon Falls Tannin Red tap at the brewpub, sold as "Tannin Red" - Pours mostly clear amber with a lingering off-white head that leaves some lacing. It has a mild toasted caramel malt aroma. The flavor is similar with lightly toasted, sweet caramel malt. It pours very dark brown with a creamy, lasting, light tan head. It has a decent roasted malt aroma and the flavor of roast mocha. SUXVR40Rider	5 Tahquamenon Falls Blueberry Wheat Ale bread, citrus, dough, golden, clear,medium sweetness, lightly bitter, lightly sour, medium body, long finish, lively. I cannot say enough about this beer. One would think when they hear it is blueberry flavor it has a strong fruity flavor. the blueberry flavor is so light you can just make it out. Not overpowering in anyway. Combined with the wheat it is a perfect blend of the 2. After having a pint at the brewpub I purchased a growler with a Styrofoam cooler and ice to keep it cold. It was kept cold for the rest of my vacation, in a Coleman cooler with ice in the Mackinaw City area of Michigan, all the way to Grand Rapids, Michigan, where I tried another very good Michigan beer, Founders Cerise. I purchased a growler of the Cerise as well. After Grand Rapids I took the growler’s of beer packed in a cooler full of ice all the way to the Laselle/Peru area of Illinois for a couple of days, then to Des Moines, Iowa for 2 days. Upon returning home to Sioux City, Iowa the unopened growlers were then opened and the beer enjoyed by myself and friends. It was as good as the day I first tried it at the brewpubs. vomit	3.2 Tahquamenon Falls Blueberry Wheat Ale First blueberry beer for me, EVER. Actually for a fizzy little drink ,this stuff was OK. Or possibly it was the fact I had my kids in tow (at this nice establishment) and I NEEDED multiple drinks to soothe my jangling nerves? Either way I consumed several of them without hurling all over this establishment. So that’s something, I guess....or not. But one supposes, you could have the BEST BLUEBERRY BEER EVER, by cracking a Blatz and shoving some blueberries in your can/bottle/40 ouncer, and lighting out for Blueberry Nirvana.
