27.8.2022: From tap at ZAPF! Craft Beer Festival Bern, 5.3% ABV. Lightly hazy amber color with an off-white head. The aroma is medium yeasty with phenolic notes, cloves, pear, hints of banana, sweet cereals and wheat. The banana notes increase over time. Medium body with a light sweetness, a light bitterness and a very light acidity. The flavor starts with sweet cereals, cardboard, wheat and light toasted notes followed by phenolic notes and cloves. Finishes phenolic with cloves, light residual notes of cereals and sweet wheat. Aroma: 6 Appearance: 4 Taste: 6 Palate: 4 Overall: 10

The aroma is lightly grainy and lightly hoppy with some grass, light herbal notes, straw and some hay - elegant smell. Medium body with a light to medium bitterness and a light sweetness. The flavor starts with lightly sweetish pale malt, grains, lightly sweetish grains, hints of cereals, hints of cardboard, herbal hops, light grass notes and straw. The hop presence intensifies towards the finish. Finishes with a light to medium herbal and lightly earthy hop bitterness. Decent crisp with a nice hop presence. Aroma: 6 Appearance: 4 Taste: 7 Palate: 4 Overall: 12

courtesy of Nadine Degen - quite clear dark amber beer under a solid and long lasting foam; well-present yet subtle hoppy aroma with fruity (litchies and mango) and flowery notes; quite assertive and tasty, a good malt backbone, velvety mouthfeel and with a solid bitterness; light malt residual sweetness and a long aromatic fruity and light spicy hoppy finish with a lingering bitterness - delicate yet with character; a good beer

draught at the brewery - cloudy dark amber-orange colour with a persistent pale beige foam; nice lacework; the aroma is dominated by cloves and another spice I just can’t put a word on it; the fruity tones stay in the background; velvety mouthfeel and quite low carbonation for the style; moderately sweet; notes of banana appear in the finish along with lingering notes of cloves - an elegant weizen

draught at the brewery - quite cloudy blond beer with a solid and long lasting bright white foam; fresh and fair aromatic hoppiness, slightly fruity with light almondy and herbal tones, medium-bodied and solidly bitter; quite dry and very long bitter herbal hoppy finish - fresh and solid, a beer with character

draught at the brewery; 8/2006 - hazy blond colour with a little foam; aromatic hoppy nose with notes of tangerines; clean palate, medium-bdoied and with a decent bitterness; moderately dry finish, some fruity and yeasty notes in the aftertaste (3/6/6/3/12)
