Degustata in bottiglia da 50 centilitri. Color castano scuro schiuma persistente fine diciamo 3 mm.

A Mes rate: 50cl bottle thanks to Reakt.
Lovingly labelled as "Canít stand ya" by Ang.

Semi hazy amber colour with a thin tan head. Very Belgian spicy yeast aroma. Tastes almost identical to their rice beer with some darker malt and light smoky notes. Lots of caramel, almost sickly but stopping just short. Pretty much instant finish. Alcohol is virtually non-existant. Quite like this brewer. None of them are particularly special but they are certainly different and I think that deserves at least a few props.

Pale cloudy yellow with just a faint white rim. Lemon zest, spice and obvious rice in the aroma. Exactly the same in the mouth, who wouldathunkit? Mexican rice finish. Would be great with tacos. Totally inoffensive and drinkable.

A Mes rate: 50cl bottle at Steveís Xmas booze up.
Lovely dark cloudy amber with a decent beige head. Leathery malt aroma with lots of sweet slightly roasty malt and something akin to creosote. Phil says handbags and I have to agree. Smoky malt flavour with some endearing earthy and peaty notes and some slight chocolate in a prickly finish. Another interesting beer from this brewer.

Hazy pale gold with a very thin white head. Heavy rice and corn with some sickly sweet yeasty notes and an almost chewy spicy malt finish. Dull and far from great.

Very cloudy amber brown with a decent light beige head. Smoky malt aroma with lots of caramel and licks of alcohol. Smoked malt is even more pronounced in the flavour with a nice prickly bitterness around the edges and a lovely peaty, earthy finish. Medicinal and herbacious notes also. Extremely drinkable and quite unusual. Interesting stuff.

Cloudy brown color; thin head. Dry aroma, caramel, light roasted malt, with a touch of medicine. Also the flavor is similar (dry caramel, with roasted malt and medicine) and dry smokeyness. Itís a top fermentation, but tastes like a Vienna. I donít like it.

Hazy amber color; big head. The aroma is malty and genty smoked. Medium body, with caramel flavor and light malt, dry mouthfeel, with some smokeyness. Pleasant.

Hazy light blond color. Aroma of wheat, lightly sour. Weak body, dry mouthfeel, poor flavor, low bitterness. Not different from a common Weisse (but bottom fermented).

Very muddy beer, yellowish rim. Very acidic, aggressive nose, with wheat, and lemon in the finish. Wheat (though it is the rice, really) returning in the taste, with citruszeste, slight coriander, wheatflour (the rice...). Very yeasty, slick MF, with a burning sensation, but ending quite empty. Promising much, delivering little.
