Pours clear dark brown with small white head. Settles as thin patchy layer of foam crawling of the side of the glass. No lacing. Aroma is sweet, Glue, brown sugar, nuts and metallic alcohol (impressive for a beer with an ABV of around 5). Light carbonation and thin, watery texture. Flavor has fairly strong sweetness followed by moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter. Lingering. Not a wholehearted take on a Brown Ale. Disappointing. Friday, August 24, 2018

Pours hazy golden yellow with small white head. Settles as small patch of foam drifting around. Moderate lacing. Aroma is dominated by the Malt base. Medium intense. Caramel and bread. Lightly fruity. Berries and citrus. Soft carbonation. Soft, lightly prickly, slightly thick texture. Flavor has strong fruity sweetness. Avoid being cloying. Followed by light bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish. Lingering caramel. Not especially Belgian inspired. But if you are into fairly sweet beer this is certainly a caramelized possibility. Thursday, August 16, 2018
