DeanF	3.6 Elephant Island Crab Apple Fruit Wine 2019 edition, 375ml bottle from the winery. Served slightly chilled, has a pale yellow straw body. The aroma is all chewy sweet apple, very full, sugary, nice. Flavour is very fresh sweet apple, dessert-like almost, but no heavy sugariness; just fresh apple and the alcohol is very well hidden. Nice mouthfeel, not as heavy as some like this. Very nice. Thursday, September 10, 2020
Oakes	2.8 Elephant Island Pear Wine Bottle, at the winery. Pale greenish, has a slightly boozy, pear aroma. On the palate, it’s quite tart and dry, sort of a pear juice note. Lacks the structure and complexity the perry pears would give you. Saturday, July 14, 2018

Aroma is of berries, red apples and apple skin with alcohol not being present much. Taste is nicely tart with berries and tart red apples presence along low sweetness level and lemon. Medium body. Ses saveurs acidulées de pommes et de pamplemousse sont plaisantes. Le corps de moyenne densité lui va très bien. La finale fruitée a du punch. Dangereusement facile à boire. mcberko	3.4 Elephant Island Crab Apple Fruit Wine 375mL bottle, pours a clear pale blonde. Aroma brings out bone dry apple skins, with a touch of citrus tartness. Flavour is both sweet and sour in good balance, with medium sweet apples balanced by a dry, almost citrusy tartness. Rather nice puckering quality on the finish that becomes more apparent with each sip. Not particularly complex but well put together and scarily drinkable. Very nice. Thursday, June 16, 2016

fiulijn	3.6 Elephant Island Fuji Ice Cider Bottle at the vineyard Beautiful deep blond color. Beautiful aroma of stewed apples, with apricot syrup, and a hint of saffron. The flavor is very sweet, without being syrupy; fruit sauce flavor (mix of apple and apricots), but not as appley as it could be; the alcohol presence is also strong; there is a somehow too strong bitterness in the end. Beer5000	3.9 Elephant Island Fuji Ice Cider 375 ml bottle. Clear golden body without any head. Strong and very unusually aroma, maybe best explained as a fine and noble Tokayer, ripe apple, hint of citric fruit and alcohol. Flavor is sweet apple, ripe apple, acidic, some bitterness and warming alcohol. Iced cider is pretty new to me and surprisingly different to ordinary cider, and I really like it. Aroma is moderate to light heavy apple, fruity apples, rotten apples, sweet passion fruit, artificial sweet perfumed apples, sweet mango. Flavour is moderate sweet and light acidic with a average to long duration. IMO a very stange ice cider .. not sure if it is okay .. so have to see if we can get a other bottle to see if it gives me the same flavor - aroma. yngwie	3.1 Elephant Island Fuji Ice Cider Bottle, 375ml, from trade with with fiulijn, thx Alex, for providing my first ice cider. 2006 vintage. It’s clear and golden colored, with a rather unpleasant aroma of apples, salty licorice and some alcohol. At first, unpleasant, but after a while, quite nice. Not superb, but quite nice. Some salty licorice in the flavor too, with ripe apples, more apples and some alcohol. Warming and full-bodied. A bit too warming actually, it’s not that high on ABV. A bit sweet too I think, not compared to other ice ciders obviously, as I haven’t tasted others, but compared to what I expected and prefer. Sweet and sour apple flavor, the sweetness level is very moderate, the tartness is indeed aggressive on the palate in the end; sweet, but hidden by a stronger acidity. (7+) Sweet apple up front in the flavour and middle with a finish that like the aroma varies between quite tart and concentrated appley sweetness. Smooth medium palate avoids being syrupy. Tart grapefruit upfront rolling into a pasty lime flavour. Very dry yet lip puckeringly good. Okay - incredibly tart... yikes. Tasty but a tad thin follow through in the palate.
