Volcano Winery Macadamia Nut Honey Wine
a nice mead, sweet honey. I didn't really get any macadamia nut at all, which was a little disappointing.

Volcano Winery Infusion Tea Wine
Staff explained that this is their regular macadamia nut mead infused with black tea. Bottle sample at the source. Clear golden color, still. Nice bright tea aroma. In the taste the light earthiness of the tea balances the sweetness of the mead. Unique.

Volcano Winery Macadamia Nut Honey Wine
Bottle, courtesy of fiulijn (thanks Alex), pours a clear faded yellow with no carbonation. Aroma of tree sap, macadamia nuts, honey, grass and some subtle flowers. The flavour reminds me of a chardonnay’s feel, then the sweetness from the honey kicks in, followed by macadamia nuts, flowers and some moderate fruitiness. Finishes quite sweet and boozy, but very complex. Very well-construced and multi-dimensional. Great stuff.

Volcano Winery Macadamia Nut Honey Wine
Expensive bottle from Food Pantry, Waikiki, HI
synthetic cork

It pours a yellow color with pink shades. The aroma is quite intense, there is some Chardonnay, almonds, fresh grass, a touch of jasmine; and no honey fortunately. The mouthfeel is lean, it’s semi-sweet; very similar to a Riesling, with a moderate fruity touch and pleasant pronounced acidity; there is a pleasant fruity flavor that reminds of the fresh fragolino grape juices (fox grape).
Balanced, elegant, with some original elements, and very good overall.

Volcano Winery Macadamia Nut Honey Wine
Bottle. No head (still). Body is virtually colorless (only a faint hint of yellow). Aroma is light notes of honey, rubber/plastic, lime zest, vegetation, alcohol. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic. Medium body, watery texure, no carbonation, lightly to moderately alcoholic. Very watery (even LOOKS like water), bland, with off aromas...pretty disappointing.
