madmitch76	3.5 Cheddar Ebborignal 10th February 2024 a light haze on this orange gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light and semi dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Smooth if slightly thin malts, a thin creamy sweetness. Crisp piney hop intro. Light hoppy citrus, reasonably bright, a little riper citrus underneath. Maybe a whisper of tropical fruits on the light finish. Fine, but another of those beers that delivers hoppage but little representation of the actual hops involved. Tidy but... madmitch76	3.1 Cheddar Frozen Deep 9th February 2024 A light haze on this orange gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light and smooth and semi dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Light dry pale malts, a touch of cereal. The quartet of modern hops are delivered in a startlingly old fashioned manner, pithy and perky. Some ripe orange and mandarin on the back end, as in over ripe. Mild pine. Light and semi dry finish leaves a pithy linger and a touch of modern Mosaic candy fruits. Aroma of chocolate, dark malt, gentle roast. Flavour profile continues along these lines, medium bodied with pleasant chocolatey elements.. bit of a burnt finish. Decent overall. BeardedAvenger	3.4 Cheddar Seismic Shift Bottle from Rich's Cider, Highbridge. Aroma combines pine with a vinous edge and underlying fruit. Hazy-opaque amber. Thin foamy translucent white head. Medium-heavy bitter. Resinous with s vinous edge and grapefruit. Underlying cardboard malts. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. Nice enough... but always feel like an old school brewery like this doesn't quite get how to handle fancy forrin hops. Thursday, October 12, 2023

If not a long lasting impact. Hints of peripheral berries. Light underlying malts. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. floydian1	3.4 Cheddar Bitter Bully 500ml bottle (BBE 9/24). Unfiltered pale amber appearance, average-sized white head. Nose offers citrusy notes (grapefruit, oranges) and subtle peppery spices. Taste follows with a nice citrus hop bitterness, some earth, good balance. Light medium body and soft carbonation makes for easy drinking. Recommended. Monday, June 26, 2023
BlackHaddock	3.6 Cheddar Goat's Leap 500ml bottle conditioned (5.5% ABV): BBE June 2023, poured into a vase shapped UK pint glass at home on 20th June, so just in date. No sediment left the bottle so I have a lovely clear mahogany red body in front of me, smooth layer of creamy foam on top, looks a picture. Malty, dry and bitter taste, aroma is subtle with a slight malt esters, but it's come straight out the fridge and is still fairly cold at the moment, so maybe it'll grow in strength as it warms a little. It just got more malty in the nose to be honest. Tuesday, June 20, 2023
BlackHaddock	3.2 Cheddar Potholer 500ml bottle: BBE September 2023. A gift from a friend, cheers Mike of Somerset. Drank at home on 16th June 2023. No sediment left the bottle, so I got a clear and clean golden pour with a good white crown of foam on top. Malty front to the aroma and taste, tempered by gentle citrusy esters and flavours, pleasant hoppy finish. Saturday, June 17, 2023

dragnet101	3.6 Cheddar Frozen Deep Bottle from Beers of Europe. Light hazed amber with nice frothy medium sized white head. Aroma of light toasted malt, sweetness and an array of hop notes coming through - candied orange, marmalade, grass, flora. Taste follows - light brown bread, toasted grains, icing sugar, mixed citrus peel, pine needles, hop oils. Light to medium bodied, soft carbonation, decent bitterness in the finish. In terms of a bottled pale ale, its quite a bold hoppy number, and combined with an interesting malt profile, this does make it stand out a bit. Its certainly the best of the beers I've tried from Cheddar Ales so far. [#3642 / 5th beer from brewery] Thursday, March 16, 2023
