Piwo czarne z bardzo obfitą pianą. W zapachu czuć kawę oraz nuty palone. W smaku również kawa, nuty palone oraz delikatny posmak mleka. Finisz bez mocno wyczuwalnej goryczki. Piwo mało nasycone, bardzo pijalne.

Bottle acquired thhrough WolfCarnivals exit from work. Cheers pal. I enjoyed this out on the balcony on a hot day. Perfect conditions. It’s bitter and dry. Grapefruit notes. Tastes like an English PAle Ale as much as that’s a thing. Quite enjoyable.

Carlow O’Hara’s Notorious Red IPA 3.2
Hazy deep amber color, average sized tan head with nice retention. Aroma of malt, some hops but not too much, some fruits but can’t really detect any. Still, pleasant enough. Maybe it’s even a little bit stale too. Taste is dominantly malty, lots of caramel, slightly buttery, citrusy, ripe peaches and bitterness, finally, in finish. Yeah, it has the bitter kick but it’s still too malty. Light to medium body, soft to average carbonation. I guess it’s OK.

Some hoppiness in the finish, some malts also. Nice texture, but to carbonated. I remember this as a better beer while it was on tap.

Carlow O’Hara’s Leann Folláin 4.5
My experience with O’Hara’s more commonly known Irish Dry Stout was good enough to make me want to try another. I’m sure glad I did. Leann Follain has touches of cream and soy sauce in the aroma under the usual notes of blackened barley. Flavor has beautiful rich chocolate notes that are balanced by a coffee-like bitterness that’s bright and roasty. Bone dry mouthfeel. This feels bigger than 6% - bold, viscous, and full-bodied. Here’s to hoping I can get my hands on some of the barrel-aged versions some point in the future.

Carlow O’Hara’s Leann Folláin 3.6
33cl bottle from Beer52.com. A cola coloured pour with a bright cherry red glint and a ring of tan head; aroma of chocolate and well roasted malts; rich and sharply bitter in the mouth, with burnt toast and coffee ground flavours; and then a dry finish with lingering bitterness and a satisfying warmth. A rather good stout.

Carlow O’Hara’s Irish Stout 3.4
Copenhagen 14/4 2016. 50 cl bottle from Meny. Some celtic engravings and a declaration that this is an award winning beer (very reassuring). Pours opaque reddish dark brown with light beige head. Settles as thin patchy layer of foam. Aroma of dark roasted malts and bitter coffee. A little sweet caramel as well. Rather strong carbonation for a stout and watery palate. Taste is more light and watery than expected. Nice coffee bitterness and a little sweetness. But a bit diluted. A very light stout where you get a little disappointed when you get to actually taste it.
