YantarCoast	2.1 Baltika Samara Cheshskj Khmel 1.42 litre PET bottle. Pours dark gold almost brown with no head. Aroma is dough, bread, tea, caramel malt, very small touch of hops. Taste is caramel, grain. Almost flat, but this might be down to how it was transported. To me it feels like a provincial "nefiltrovannoe". Monday, January 9, 2017

YantarCoast	2.9 Baltika Gorkovskoe 500ml bottle. Beer named after a Russian city (Gorky was the name of Nizhny Novgorod from the early '30s until the fall of the USSR), but not actually made there. Pours straw yellow with a small soapy white head. Simple aroma of malt and grain. Dry and slightly bitter finish. Mild and drinkable. Very cheap too. Tuesday, August 11, 2015

thellgren	1.8 Baltika Samara Klassicheskoe 0.5 l bottle got from my mother-in-law who was in a river cruise in Russia. Looks like lager with OK head. Taste has absolutely no hops at all. This is rather sweet. Tastes like the strong Russian lagers, but this has only 4.7 %. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone. Saturday, October 12, 2013

Oakes	0.5 Baltika Samara Lyogkoe Baltika’s branch brewery in Samara produces the regional Samara brand beers, which I’ve found from Kazan to Tashkent. The light has a pale straw colour and no sign of a head. The light aroma is grainy. The palate is cidery and grainy. The body is light. The finish is quick and cidery.
