Rivertowne Hala Kahiki Pineapple Beer
Sample @ Beers of the Burgh Fest. Pours a clear straw yellow with a large white head of foam. Tart tart sweet aroma of pineapple. Starts out sweet like watered down pineapple juice then ends with a slightly flowery and metallic aftertaste like the acidity from a can. Not as good as I had expected.

Tap bocktown. Murky lighter brown. Ever so mild fruit perfume nose. Mild saison taste, hides alky wee. Well behaved. Somewhat frui or plum taste on the saison backbone but you have to look for it. I guess the plum is responsible for the friendly tartness. Pretty good co2. Overall not bad, better than expected. Decent mild fruit finish.

Decent lighter beer on tap at Patrick’s Pub in Moon. Aroma was average. Slightly tart with notes of yeast and dust. Pour was a nice hazy medium gold with a one finger white head. Taste was light and airy. Slightly tart with yeast and light malt in the front and just s note of plum in the finish. Alcohol was hidden well as it tasted like a tart flavored seltzer water. Nice carbonation.

Rivertowne Schloppy Monster Double IPA
Initial impression from a can is not good - big foaming pop the lid all over my floor, slightly annoying, just slightly. Once I corral it into the glass it has a dull smacking IPA aroma. Now its evolving to simply flat IPA IPA BS all over my lager loven tongue, you mahfah. This beer session proves, and simply proves, that a local micro brewer can make more terribly on style double ipa than can be found worldwide. RPF, you did it. If you like DIPA, reverse my numbers. FO too! One big freaking roto-5 horse power tiller, across my field of taste receptors. Oh, the finish’s oh so volatile, even if you know it’s over 8%! Kicks my asssssssssssssss...........

Rivertowne Aji Limo Lager
Industry. Quite dark and very mild dark lager impressions. Has a bit of a bite, fer sure. Somewhat astringent on the back end. Good up front with it’s tender dark beer come on. Then, that bitter thing sets in. A litle more pungent on the senses fer sure. If aji limo is a pepper, not sure if I detect it in here or not.

On tap at Rivertowne Pour House (5/3/15). Mild noble hop aroma, some biscuit and caramel and light grain. Dark golden amber clear with thin off-white head. Medium body with medium-high carbonation. Starts fairly dry with medium hop bitterness. A little malt sweetness but mostly dry nutty and bitter hop character. Dry light astringent after with lasting bitterness.

Rivertowne Rudolph’s Red
Can. Pours a clear reddish brown body with a one finger foamy beige head that left some light lace. The nose is a mix of fruitcake, caramel, light spiciness, a bit of alcohol, and a slight cherry like note. The flavor is a little odd, it’s fruity, but I feel like there’s an odd spiciness to this that I can’t quite identify. Finishes with some light peppery alcohol, lingering caramel, toffee, and cinnamon. Medium to full bodied, quite chewy and a little clingy, with minimal soft carbonation. Actually a pretty interesting beer. Not sure that it’s an award winner, but it does have a uniqueness to it.

Nice nutty and slight coffee scent. Boozey but easy to drink. Toasted malts and the oatmeal smooths out what could be too heavy and bitter. Nice and easy with the balance you want. Medium in mouth, not watery, not too thick. Tap

Rivertowne Always a Home Game
Obtained a can via a trade and was surprised to find it to be a very decent golden lager. Nothing terribly exciting but nonetheless a satisfying and refreshing beer. I’m not a fan of most domestic macro lagers so was pleased to see that this product was definitely a step up from that grouping of beers. If this were available in my geographic area, I’d be happy to purchase a 6-pack.

Rivertowne/Millersburg OH-PA Pale Ale
Pour from tallboy can. Rich clear and deep gold with healthy head. Nose of gentle fruitiness, lemongrass, candied rind, dry dog food malt, bread, mozzarella saltiness? However, flavor is much more admirable. Grainy and smooth malt pair with a rich, juicy, gently lemony yet dry hop-presence. Buttery mouthfeel. No real notable flavors come out. Still, it’s a juicy, non-bitter, nicely balanced session with a full body for a 4.8%. A bit of residual sugar very present though.

Poured into a pint glass. 4.0 A: Cloudy golden wheat color. Two fingers of frothy/creamy off-white head. Retention is about average and a solid finger of lacing is left. 4.0 S: Big hefty wheat, coriander. Interesting mix of lemon and bubblegum. Hints of spicy clove and pepper. Simple, yet sophisticated. Very nice. 4.0 T: Like the nose, this tastes great. Strong neutral wheat. Moderate coriander with peppery yeastiness. Clove underneath. Subtle bubblegum and lemon notes. 4.5 M: Medium, velvety body. Good moderate carbonation. Super creamy. Just what I want here. 4.25 D: A very well brewed witbier. ★ 627 characters DavoleBomb, Mar 29, 2015

Rivertowne Wit Ale
Poured into a perfect pint. Bottle. Presumably I have a new bottle design that just says "WIT" on it. 3.25 A: Murky orange brown color. Two fingers of frothy beige head. Retention is a touch below average and a short ring of lacing is left. This is easily the darkest witbier I’ve come across to date. 3.5 S: Corriander and bubblegum are easily the strongest aromas along with a stout bready yeastiness. Orange peel, banana, and wheat beneath with caramel and toastiness. Based on the deScription I wrote, it seems like it should be pretty standard, but it has the quality of not being as "bright" as most wits I’ve had. Still, it’s not bad. 3.0 T: Taste is more muddled than the nose. Again there’s a hefty yeastiness, which is more than I prefer. It interfered with the tasting of the coriander and yeast products like bubblegum and banana. Caramel and a light toastiness. 3.5 M: Medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Light-moderate creaminess with some chewiness to it. 3.0 D: It’s not bad, but it’s different from the typical witbier. This is unfortunate because when I bought this, I was looking for a typical witbier. Give it a try I suppose. ★ 1,175 characters DavoleBomb, Mar 06, 2015
