Idiosynkrasie	3 Marienstatter Pilgerbier 500ml bottle. Slightly milky, yellow-ish golden colour with average, thick, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, snow-white head. Grainy, bready, malty aroma, hints of white bread crust, a touch of husk and protein, minimally sweet, wheaty overtones. Taste is minimally strawy, grainy, malty, grassy hoppy overtones, hints of protein, a minimally waxy touch, subtle sweetness, decent hop bitterness. Oily-watery texture, soft carbonation. Nothing special, but sports a nice Zwickel-touch as it's non-filtered. Wednesday, February 19, 2020
martjoobolut	3.6 Marienstatter Klosterbräu Bottle, thanks Roman. 4.8& ABV, about month over BB. Pours dark brown with beige head. The heads stays. Aroma and flavor are sweet, malty, grainy. Touch of metallic notes also in the flavor. Body is bit thin. Finnish has some bitterness. Overall: good, I'm sucker for these kind of malty beers. Monday, February 4, 2019

minutemat	3 Marienstatter Klosterbräu 500ml bottle thanks to Kolschtrinker. Pours deep hazed brown, frothy off white topping. Aroma is fairly light, soft brown bread. Taste is similarly light, some nutty brown bread, smooth malt, caramel. Its a passable dunkel, too light and thin for some but i found it sessionable enough. Wednesday, January 2, 2019

bartlebier	2.5 Marienstatter Klosterbräu 50cl bottle bb05/15, rare sanctified offering in idiosynkrasie’s bountiful tradebox, marcielujah! Luminous, clear copper-red beer, rustic cap. Diluted spiced Malzbonbon for a nose, honey-drenched bread rolls and other bakery mainstays. Taking a first sip coats all areas on the tongue in an unmerciful spicy astringency, seemingly coming from both malt-aromatics in husky, chestnut peel, and aggressive hops in grass-husk overdrive. Like licking toasted bread and then dipping the tip of your tongue in stale marmite. Forbidding in this sense, watery after that. Sourish-edged cowfodder finish. Very conflicted and borderline impalatable amidst the best of intentions: this Hail Mary, alas, is no Mother of Mercy. Tuesday, November 4, 2014

Minimally spicy, dark malty aroma, hints of roast, dark fruit, a herbal touch. Countbeer	3 Marienstatter 800 Jahre Festbier Bottle: Thanks Roman: Medium vast creamy head which disappears slow into a light sticky creamy lacing on top of a clear orange amber colored beer. Smell honey, malts, light caramel, slight hint of butterscotch. Taste honey, vinous, wood, caramel, autumnal herbs, some grains, herbs and a hint of hops. Aftertaste is autumnal herbs with a light to medium bitterness. Low carbo, soft mouthfeel, medium body and a texture between watery and creamy. Saturday, November 24, 2012

Idiosynkrasie	2.9 Marienstatter 800 Jahre Festbier 500ml bottle. Clear amber colour with average frothy white head. Grainy aroma with sweet caramel malt notes and an explicit honey touch. Taste is somewhat monotonous and a bit flabby, has caramel malt, some hay and spelt, slightly dry finish - not hop induced but spelt invoked. Solid average. Thursday, May 17, 2012
Koelschtrinker	2.7 Marienstatter Klosterbräu Die Abtei Marienstatt braut das Bier selber, hat aber anscheinend keine Abfüllanlage, weshalb auf der Flasche nur steht: "Abgefüllt für...", wahrscheinlich von der naheliegenden Hohenfelder Brauerei. Leicht hefiger, getreidig-malziger Geruch. Feinherber Antrunk mit minimal würziger Note, etwas später setzt ein zuerst verwässertes Malzaroma ein, das sich später stabilisiert. Im Mittelteil aber hat das Bier einen Durchhänger, die untertönige Würze ist auf einmal der alleinige Geschmecksträger, schafft es aber nicht, dass Bier harmonisch zu gestalten.Im nachgeschmack setzt die Herbe erneut ein, diesmal ist der malzige Teil etwas röstmalzig und nicht verwässert.
